"First game-winner of my life" "Going into the timeout, I was already picturing in my mind my first game-winner" "Cash" Money quotes from Ja'KOBE

Scottie Barnes airlifts Ja'KOBE Walter

"It's tough to tank when you're a bucket-getter." Ja'Kobe Walter, probably

Great play and a hell of a shot by A.J. Lawson

This particular 3pt shot is becoming more valuable da Silva is standing well behind the 3pt line, steps into his shot while catching & hits a 26-footer Nail help has to be there, da Silva offers a passing window by being a few ft behind the line & steps into a more comfortable but still deep shot

A.J. Lawson closes out, lands, blocks Franz's 3pt shot and finishes in transition.

Gradey Dick had a few good iso defensive possessions. Not the quickest dude moving laterally but he can: play the angles & beat players to spots on drives. Does a decent job vs. J-Will & Shai here Knows which direction he's forcing them, engaged feet, chest stops, hands are back & forces misses

Toronto Ingram

Scottie Barnes with DENIAL on Chet Holmgren

“I want to pass, you want to score, let’s make it happen.”

Like Ja'Kobe Walter, Jamal Shead has that edge and snarl to his basketball personality. He's going to be a fun one to watch develop.

Jamal Shead is the fastest man alive

And now a shimmy-turnaround jumper fading to the baseline. Yessir, Scottie B

Ochai Agbaji said hell nah!!!

More nice middy from Scottie Barnes Creates great separation with the behind the back dribble, good balance, gets his legs into and flows into a pull up 2

NBA has to make this the slogan going forward.

Bit of a loose handle but good process and finish from Scottie Barnes on this jumper. Spins away from Harden's swipe, crosses over into space on the left, almost loses it but corrals the ball into a balance jumper

Turned on Nuggets-76ers and Kyle Lowry just stole the ball from Aaron Gordon after he tried to post him up. If you know, you know.

Gradey corner cuts for an easy dunk because his defender has no idea what he's doing.

Enjoyed this sequence of x outs and help the helper. Love the activity and anticipation. Results in a shot clock violation.

Jakob Poeltl is swatting everything. 3 blocks in the first Q so far

Been enjoying Davion Mitchell as the starting point guard Having him as your point of attack defender is a tone-setter. Him, Scottie and Jakob have created a base for their defence each game and it’d be a shame for that to fall off. Not saying it will! IQ is capable of being competent at the POA

Jakob Poeltl is a connector. When the Raptors need him, he's always on time. Offensively, Poeltl is averaging a career-high in elbow touches. Here are some of the actions he operates in. 1/2

When Scottie Barnes is locked in like this, everyone feels it. The Raptors, their opponent, the fans, the ushers, the ball. Everybody. His force, energy and even his yells tilt games in Toronto's favour. In his own way, he has aura on the court.

The Raptors have won 5 of their last 6 games. During that span, their bench is outscoring the opposition 255-188

Scottie Barnes called out "some" players for not taking pride in their 1-on-1 defence after the last game vs. Atlanta. This response from the team collectively along with him backing up what he said on the court are good signs for the organization. Now sustain it 🙏🏽

Trae Young's 11 turnovers were the MOST he's ever had in an NBA game

Scottie Barnes' energy tonight was friggin incredible. 24-11-7-2-2 is an amazing game but the amount of possessions he swallowed up with switches and shot alterations isn't factored in. He was a wet blanket for Hawks' offence.

Sign me up for aaaalll of this... Davion fights around screen, Jak at the level and keeps a hand on Okongwu while his other hands swipes at trey, late switch, Barnes takes Okongwu, BLOCK Mitchell skips to Barrett in the opposite corner for 3. Bucket.

Gradey Dick gets a quick hook in the 3rd quarter after drawing an offensive foul when Jak was open for a dump off. He's only played 9 minutes tonight.

ccording to NBA.com tracking data, Scottie Barnes shot 35.8% on turnaround & turnaround fadeaway 2pt jump shots last season. That number is 46.1% this season. That tracking data isn't perfect but the eye test doesn't lie. He looks confident and smooth taking these.

Shead pushing the ball made the switch from Nance necessary, otherwise he was getting a layup Trae takes Boucher, mouse in the house, nice feed from Jak

Orlando Robinson is +14 in 6:34. Some nice contests at the rim and active hands in PnR

I enjoy when the Raptors look athletic on defence. Nice bench boost from Brown, Shead & company

THE RAPTORS HAVE WON 4 OF THEIR PAST 5 GAMES FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE APRIL 2, 2023

Jakob Poeltl in the clutch

Love Me Some Bully Barnes Early Post Ups

Raptors making Trae Young work on defence. Running Gradey off-screens & back cutting for lob attempts, Davion putting him through PnR & overall involving Trae in off-ball screening actions to force him into decisions.

OG throwing his weight around against Gradey. As the ball comes to the strong side of the floor, OG bumps into a postup. Then, after some solid deny and locked in D, Gradey fronts, OG pushes and receives the ball over the top. Dunk.

And then this play...dives for this loose ball which leads to a Mitchell layup. He's also putting great pressure on ball handlers.

Ja'Kobe Walter is dope. -Cheats off OG to try to poke the ball away from Hart. Gets caught (it happens) -Hart mocks him, seconds later, Walter back cuts Hart while he digs on Scottie -Then in transition, impressive, balanced footwork stepping around defender and finishing

I love this Rockets-Thunder game so much. Scoring should be hard because the defence is challenging your squad. If you’re not guarding, you’re the weak link. 10 players at all times are locked in on matchups, rotations, helping, finishing possessions and running to get an easy bucket.

I miss the days when officials weren't the main topic point after a terrific NBA game

Hearing OG Anunoby say, "The Raptors played hard," was strange for me. Also, this screenshot is humorous.

We can say Jak shouldn't have let Brunson turn the corner, Gradey should have sunk once Brunson burst by Jak or maybe RJ should have read the passing angle better But it was a hell of a pass & a good catch by KAT Brunson put the ball where there was an opening, not where KAT was. Great skill.
