One of my favorite memories of my (late) beagle was when we fed him a couple of leftover pancakes, he realized he was too full, and then he paced around the house with a pancake folded over in his mouth trying to find a place to stash it for later.

Love it! I grew up in the town next store and never would have imagined that the congressional district of Dennis Hastert would have this level of participation. The area has definitely shifted (center) left in the last 10 years.

All these MAGA people who have been screaming about communism for years fail to recognize that Trump’s actions are the closest thing to communism that this country has seen.

What happened at that dinner last night? He’s ultra crazy this morning.

Agree! Fun fact: I read one of your books in my first year seminar in college 33 years ago.

I have two kids who are the same. The alarm clock I bought them was called the Sonic Bomb and they still slept through it. My college kid started using the Alarmy app and it’s been a game changer for her. She has to solve puzzles and stuff to turn it off so it actually wakes her up.

Wouldn’t have he been “in control of the Autopen” in regards to the 2020 election?

So will there be any legislation during his term or have we gone full monarchy with all these EO's?

Austin resident of 15 years here. I love my city, but I hate this state. The last couple of years has pushed me to the breaking point. It's just about time for us to move back to the blue state we came from. Many Austin friends are contemplating the same.

Incredible historic site. I visited last year and it was so powerful. One of the best museums I've ever been to.

A flight risk? Don’t they want to deport her? If she left voluntarily, wouldn’t she be doing ICE’s job for them? DOJ doesn’t seem like deportation is the motivation. Sending people to their death in a concentration camp is.

Saying something isn't proving something. If they are going to insist that he is an MS-13 gang member, show us the evidence. The resistance to showing ANYONE this info is evidence that he is NOT an MS-13 gang member.

When I was a young adult in the 90s, it seemed like everyone was talking about the environmental impact of our high population growth in the world. I haven't kept up with this issue, but how did we go from too many people to not enough people? Seems quite racist and eugenics based to me.

So big tech companies have a path out of this mess, but small businesses are stuck.

Hold whoever shows up in the court room on behalf of the govt. It's better than nothing. Noem or Bondi aren't going anywhere near there and they'll tell federal marshalls to disregard any order to produce them to the court.

Hold Ensign until his "clients" are able to show up and testify. TODAY!
comment in response to

Make them show up today. Not next "Tuesday." Today. This case is being heard in Maryland, not across the country from DOJ headquarters.

Yes. Don't excuse him from the courtroom until they arrive and are able to answer questions under oath.

Can the judge hold the attorney representing the government until the government is able to provide the answers? Theoretically, that might move the government to answer the questions presented (although I wouldn't put it pass the govt to let one of their attorneys sit in a cell).

Didn't Paul Ryan (not that he is liked by MAGA Republicans) receive SS survivor benefits after his father passed away?

Throw the justice department lawyers in jail and see if the administration can negotiate the release of the person they accidentally sent to El Salvador.

Um, ok. Sounds like a mobster making a threat. Does he really believe that Trump won't get upset about some stupid little thing and slap another 10-20% on? I'm giving it about a week before he throws a tantrum at some country.

Luttnick went to Haverford College which is a (very good) liberal arts college that does not convey business degrees. A liberal arts college is supposed to teach students to think critically, but I think he missed that day of class.

Agree. Resignation/firing/impeachment isn’t enough. They must be prosecuted as well. They betrayed the military and the whole country with this negligence.

Agreed!

Seems like resignation should be the minimum. I’m not a lawyer, but this seems criminal. My question is what laws were broken with this negligence.

Kind of cute that you want him to go under oath in front of Congress. There are no repercussions for elected officials today. Do you think swearing an oath is like truth serum? They don't care and there is no punishment if they are discredited or found lying.

I almost rolled my eyes/chuckled at his "no masks!" comment. In my experience as a parent, even the most liberal colleges haven't had mask mandates for a couple of years. However, a lot of kids mask voluntarily when sick, which is the considerate thing to do!

Out of all the things that upset me the most after the election, our position with NATO was at the top. Dark days we are in.
