I was just thinking that. I agree that it is so obvious who was fired and why, but I certainly don't love it.

It will always be Denali and Gulf of Mexico to me. I have seen some people stating that we should not care about changing the name of the Gulf. But, these are international waters, one country deciding it has the claim on changing the name that has been accepted for centuries means something.

I am sorry others are experiencing it, but although I have paintings i am working on, every attempt to paint just stalls and feels like a struggle lately.

I would gladly join them

Yes! To me, it looks like it is singing and tapping its foot to the song.

Yes. This election impacts the nation. Those that are able need to vote. Those that can donate, please do

They are so majestic. Always a treat!

I was hoping that was the case. Just a small consolation that it isnt prime time to be out. Top of the foot is a rough spot. I hope it heals fully in time to enjoy some spring!

Speedy healing. Hopefully, it helps the photographer in you that it didn't happen in spring or summer. (Not meant to be glib, I just know that if I have to miss getting out, it is easier to deal with in the winter)

Thanks for replying. I am always curious because I know what it is like to either see something unexpected, or go to an area in hopes of seeing something! I am glad you were able to capture its image!

Agreed. I wasn't thrilled that he had to get rabies vaccine as a precaution, but once it got on him we knew that would be the case, so he let it stay on him for a little while, then we provided a stick for it to climb on so we could move it to safety. We knew a bat expert, so we had guidance.

The poor. It is always the poor that pay.

Beautiful bird, and nice photo. Did you know it was around, or just happen to spot it while out?

Although I can imagine as a kid it was rather disconcerting!

But that is defensive behavior rather than being "mean"

Whether intentional or not, they don't do it without reason. Going too close to nests, staring, etc can all seem innocent or not provoking, but from the animal's perspective, there is some negative or threatening behavior.

They are always a treat to watch!

Thanks. Not really. I don't have high-end equipment. A lot of it is just planning and settings. What did you do to make a red winged blackbird attack you? They are generally very docile and often allow us to get very close to them without even flying away

They are wonderful neighbors !

My hope is that we will rebuild with more focus on science and compassion. But how many will suffer in the meantime?
