However you like to buy books is best! I'm always an advocate for supporting your local indie bookstore over Amazon, but I know that's not always an option, especially as bookstores disappear!

I know there are a tons of petitions floating around, but as someone who uses NARA facilities all the time I can't not share it. Some university collections fall under NARA, personal archives are in NARA centers. This is more than just presidents. action.everylibrary.org/nationalarch...

I feel like this deserves a repost right now. I made this to help me understand the midcentury era that I write in because science and technology is never free from politics. It ended up helping me understand a lot more about modern America.

My deep dive into Apollo 8 -- the mission splashed down December 27, 1968, so I've still got a couple of little shorts coming! youtu.be/mmx_4Y-9QS0

And my full deep dive, if you haven't seen it yet and want to really settle into a big retelling of the mission! I had a ton of fun making this one -- lots of anecdotes, archive footage, and uncommon pictures! youtu.be/mmx_4Y-9QS0

A little casual one up today, since no one's online: Gum counted for hygiene on Apollo missions! It's the best alternative when you don't have a sink to properly brush... which is super gross but makes sense. youtube.com/shorts/9zhXv...
