I am working on an application to better visualize Pace's publicly available performance metrics. The left is the Percent of scheduled trips as posted, and the right is it made more understandable for the average rider. I even color coded the lines to let you know how each garage is performing.

Already back to transit advocacy.

We are almost halfway through the year and @chicagocta.bsky.social is still yet to post any ridership data for the year to the RTA's Mapping and Statistics. Both Metra and Pace have posted ridership through April 2025.

I thought when I moved to SLC from Chicago, I would be leaving rail extensions that inflate in cost. The one block UTA S-Line extension cost increased by 50%, has been pushed back almost a year, and has the center double track extension (Figure 2) removed.

Am I seriously going to have to write another letter to Mike Lee.

Even Cubic is still tagging the CTA on Twitter even though they are the main contact for the Ventra contract.

Android users can now update 2.2.11 and purchase a RDP.

Metra redid their tweet, but didn't tell Pace they deleted the original.

Apparently this update is only available on iOS and Android users are unable to purchase the Regional Day Pass add-on.

After a literal year of waiting the RTA Regional Day Pass is finally here. Of course no one knows about it because it's only been posted on Metra's Twitter account and offhandedly brought up at the Pace Board Meeting. www.ventrachicago.com/mobile/rdp/

Maybe there was a reason the FAA kept fining SpaceX

Still yet to see any transit agency or Ventra make a public announcement about this despite having just more than a day before it launches.

This has since been taken down, but the Metra Marketing team was telling people to take the NCS to the Buffalo Grove Farmers Market despite it being on Sunday when there is notably no service.

It was announced at the Pace Board Meeting that the RTA Regional Day Pass will be launched this Friday, exactly one year since its proposal.

My letter to Senator Mike Lee demanding his resignation.

I expected Jon Stewart to mention the SLC Shooting in yesterday's episode of TDS, but I didn't expect him to mention the 2008 Shooting at NIU. He shows how much the nation's desire for safety is all in the wrong place. We need to be moving Forward, Together Forward. youtu.be/3Q08a7BI9XI?...

This could have been any one of us 10,000 out there. Rest in Power.

It took a week but I got hit with my first late bus. The 455 only has 30-minute headways and this bus ran 12 minutes late. Now I have to wait for it to loop back around to pick me up.

Whichever way this goes, this will most definitely have ramifications on Metra using Union Pacific's Belvidere Subdivision to get to Rockford from Elgin. www.trains.com/trn/news-rev...

This is how you properly make a construction detour for pedestrians.

More guns is not the solution to making guns safer.

Along side chanting "Fuck Donald Trump", people were also chanting "Fuck Mike Lee". Alongside Governor Cox, I can't wait to be part of voting this embarrassment out of office.

To those thinking the parade has nothing to do with his birthday, this isn't the first time he tried to use the Army's anniversary to do this. He tried to do it back in 2018 for the not as significant 243rd anniversary which was as round of a number as 250. abcnews.go.com/Politics/tru...

The only time you should be marching that out of step is when you go over a bridge, and I don't see any near there. I guess this is what happens when you only select your "best"

There were many first time protesters and families out there. This could have been any one of us. No one should have to make this sacrifice just for using their right to free speech.

This was taken about a minute before everyone started running. They cannot take away ho righteous this moment was. I wish more people who were part of the march were able to experience it.

We didn't ask for violence, they did. kutv.com/news/local/p...

Ready for this evening.

Something overlooked with the reroute is the loss of a direct transfer to the 82 from Evanston as it currently requires a transfer to the 290. It would be advantageous to extend the 11 to Davis via McCormick-Main-Chicago and add a diversion to Lincolnwood Town Center.

I am finally done with the move and am almost done with the unpacking. In the meantime, I have been able to get some rides on the UTA and have had nothing but genuinely great experiences. I am elated to be able to call this my transit network.

Evanston Roundtable reports Sunday service for the 93 Dodge Bus coming this August, extension from Kimball to Logan Square in Winter (assuming state legislation addresses the fiscal cliff, of course) evanstonroundtable.com/2025/06/11/s...
