The Transit App tracker was down for pretty much the whole day but I had no worries about my bus ghosting me. Can't say I'd have the same trust for the CTA or Pace Northwest Division.

For now, I will just be posting the average of each month as they are uploaded, but I hope to make a proper user interface for the public to use to see historical data and even single in on each route.

This also makes the Day Pass 5 Pack even more useless as it appears you cannot add an RDP to any of those day passes.

Although only some Android users are able to update. I guess I'm lucky.

If it doesn't get fixed by 5p today, it's not getting fixed until at least 9a on Monday.

Currently only iOS user can buy the pass as Ventra hasn't released an update to the Google Play Store to allow Android users to purchase it.

Also add a section on if your smartphone is iOS or Android.

Pace's social media presence is particularly embarrassing. They made a post about their routes to the airport that linked to a page that has major typos in it. This is despite me pointing this out that the last time they posted about it 6 months ago.

The RTA even reposted it.

Also the Metra part of the pass expires at 3am but the CTA/Pace part expires 24 hours after.

This was offhandedly announced at Pace's board meeting (it didn't even get its own slide in the presentation) and no one bothered to say anything else about it until AFTER it launched. bsky.app/profile/anal...

The main reason those who are too young to drive are resorting to e-bikes and e-scooters is because they have no other means of personal autonomy. The only bus lines in the village service the industrial park and not where people actually live.

Had to re-reply because I got the year wrong.

This was posted with the Peterson-Ridge opening back in May 2024. Additional weekend service was supposed to be added, at the cost of losing the 30-min headway midday trains, but UP pulled out at the 11th hour due to the operations transfer. Now we'll be lucky if there's any service after June 30th.

It would be much more cost and time effective to turn Kostner into a bikeway instead if using a currently active rail line. See my analysis below. bsky.app/profile/anal...
