Yes! My cat is a weird old lady! No one owns anyone, we just hang out all the time because we are both old and grumpy and like to spend time together on the couch watching media or embroidering. I take care of her because she needs it and it’s fine to take care of your loved ones!

Yeah I bought a ton of rice, chili crisp, and meds for my old cat w/chronic health issues then read the news and went “still worth doin”. Good luck to everyone out there tryin to get through yet another damn crisis. Some day we will have a society that makes these easier. But it ain’t today.

Is that the one where he stops the train? When his mask falls off and one of the passerby says something like “I’ve got a kid that age…” I swear there’s more heart in that one line than a years worth of modern marvel films.

This was my childhood also; the piece is adorable. Thank you for a small sweet moment of remembered fun.

Other option is to not only see them destroyed anyway, but watch their tools/members/influence be incorporated into the existential threat, and set loose to prey upon the vulnerable. It’s frightening, but there is truly no world where appeasement works. Fiction is a powerful tool, turns out!

Existential threat coming to destroy everything. And the protagonist must go to varying organizations and institutions and try and convince them to unite and fight. This often requires re-negotiating or destroying extant power structures or organizations. But you have to, because the only (2/3)
