California bill #ab1248 on junk fees in rental housing put on inactive file. Why did this happen? Author and sponsors did not understand scope of issues (especially re utilities) and had to make significant amendments once they did their diligence. Do the diligence first.

The beautiful budget bill contains a provision that would prohibit states and localities from making ai rent setting (Realpage) illegal. A huge gift to tech and real estate. But RealPage still faces an estimated $73B in exposure to existing suits and it’s trying to sell/go public.

Gave my kids access to my music library long ago and it’s fun to see which bands they latch onto. Youngest told me she’s been liking the streets lately. I learn new songs through what they add to the library. It’s a good system.
