The only time I saw you fight for anything was to kick Al Franken out. It seems like he is more dangerous to you than the white supremacist mob running this country. Just resign and take the job your owners have lined up for you.

The only way the Democratic Party regains any credibility is by kicking Schumer out. We all know how bad this regime is so is your party going to stand for ordinary Americans or Wall Street? You are one of the good guys so please help your party grow a spine.

Yes, nothing more useless than a Democratic strategist. Didn’t Carville say a couple weeks ago that the Trump regime would implode by Easter? They’re so out of touch.

I think we are already there, unfortunately.

Sadly, looks like a lot of Latinos support this, completely ignoring the absence of a due process, and having no concern at all for how these people are being treated. Can we really trust Trump saying that they are all monsters?

Bernie, I agree that wealth inequality is the most underrated economic issue of our time, but how many Democrats agree with your message? If this is not the time to attempt to reform the party, I don’t know when it will be.

He is kind of done with the “anti-woke” stuff. Time to do “strong” things to calm MAGA down while he breaks the economy.

Americans will have to learn how to fight as we are experiencing fascism for the first time. People have been brainwashed for decades into worshipping the ruling class so we don’t have a fighting culture. But things are getting worse so quickly that enough people might wake up.

Yes, having doubts that Schumer only cares about his donors is ridiculous. Also, I’ve heard some pretend that this was an extraordinarily difficult decision to make. A marginally more chaotic situation pales in comparison to full capitulation for who knows how long.

Happy birthday! Thank you for being such an amazing person.

Neville Chamberlain is MLK next to you, weasel

So, are you the decent guys going to form a new party or join an existing one, or are you going to clean up the party from all of these spineless drones? Whatever the Democratic Party has become is clearly not working.

At least we’ll do a better job scrutinizing our primary candidates in the future. Thanks, piece of garbage.

So they caved Bernie, now what? The Democratic Party as it is has died today.

If you vote “yes” on the CR you will be a phony like Schumer. Chuck had said no before but then he caved so forgive me for not trusting Democrats for what they say only for what they do.

If this betrayal doesn’t cause a major shake up in the Democratic Party, I don’t know what will. If we can’t change how the party operates, we might have to start a new one as unrealistic as it sounds.

Would the progressive democrats ever be able to primary the spineless corporate donors like Schumer when two of the largest influencers such as Brian Tyler Cohen and David Pakman say nothing about the Dems enabling the fascist?
comment in response to post
Brian, Schumer is betraying us and you say nothing about it? So much for wanting a strong party..

You are so out of touch that even your op-ed is behind a paywall. History will remember you as the Chief Enabler of the fascist regime.

I hate Piers but I’m glad that’s how I found you. I’m not aware of any economist in the U.S. that shares your message. Hopefully you are working with some folks across the pond to spread the word.

They are already doing the weaponization and you just want to make things easier for them? Can you for once listen more to ordinary Americans than to your pampered consultants?
