The measure of any government is whether it tackles causes rather than symptoms of problems. Kneecap, like those who daub paint on military killing machines are merely symptoms. Banning them simply demonstrates gov't cowardice and ineptitude.

Aye, however a sheep turd on a beach blends in too, but my numpty dog can sniff that out and be on it in a split second!

I've actually been trying to teach my retriever that retrieval involves giving the ball back. No joy yet, but he's quite good at playing with things that are his, and not playing with things that aren't, so my new tactic is to get him to believe that the ball is mine. Wish me luck!

My flattie would simply burst through the wall and catch it before it hit the floor!

Fight farage as labour? Displace farage by becoming Reform more like!

It really is that simple. They can't pretend to be upset by the vast suffering while actively encouraging it!

He was always going to do that, because he knew damn well that it could not deliver what he promised, but he also knew that he could blame that on the Tories for not doing it properly. He's a charleton, a liar and a conman, and he'd sell his country out for personal gain.

It's never held water. What they actually meant was "England is stronger with Scotland as it's back yard."

Antiquated TNUoS charges (Google it) from the days when electricity was mostly generated in England and transmitted to Scotland are why Scots have to subsidise the South of England.

He's not a genius, not even close. He's just got enough money to employ geniuses.

Sad that the US has become a country that allows people to shit all over it and drive it into poverty, and then just walk away... As long as they're rich.

The choice will come soon enough for Scots. And it'll either be independence, or fascism. There's no middle ground anymore.

And there we have it. You don't even need to be a dribbling fascist shill to sideline countries in the so-called 'United Kingdom', two of which got dragged out of the EU unwillingly because they're shackled to the basket-case country represented by that fucking flag!

Metaphorically or literally, getting into bed with trump is something best avoided.

It's not sliding into fascism, it's got 4 wheel drive engaged with the pedal to the floor towards fascism!

I blame the BBC for making me a news avoider. Their output is awful and best avoided.

If you have more money than you can possibly spend in a country where there's a massive poverty problem then It's hardly 'hammering', more 'slight tweaking'.

I wonder how many torygraph subscribers are salivating at the prospect of chlorinated chicken?

Radio 4 embarked upon its downward slope after Brian Redhead left the Today programme in my opinion. Since then they've steadily replaced forensic analysis with whizz-bang, oblivious to the fact that R4 listeners would rather hear the former than the latter.

The yardstick for antisemitism has changed. Nazi salutes and the lot is fine, criticizing Israeli genocide is where we draw the line.

Well. That's the end of the road for us Marxists, and I'm going to miss my oat milk, but it was good while it lasted.

That £2.4m is coming out of Scotland's coffers!

I'm not going to hold my breath for the investigation into the very obvious political motivation behind branchform.

Westminster, its structures, and its client journalists are rotten to the core, and no amount of reform can sort it out. It functions on patronage and fraud and needs swept away.
