Celebrated the little kiddo's birthday, which was space themed, and showed the planets to the group of friends that came. Took some photos while at it. The Universe is still awe inspiring as are little kids who are always so curious. Public outreach is so much fun.

There are about 2 million federal employees. If each of them spends on average half an hour writing said email, this exercise will cost the government around 20-30 million dollars in work time. If they do this every week from now on, it is $1.3 billion per year. What a waste!
