Unserious state. Coca-Cola has been extracting groundwater from Perth for free to sell as bottled water for over 30 years. An average of 10 truckloads of 28,000 litres per week, with a maximum of 15 truckloads. And they're not the only ones extracting. www.abc.net.au/news/2025-06...

Hey @albomp.bsky.social, this is what a progressive, socially just energy transition looks like. UK Labour have made a major commitmentment to fund a 3.2GW nuclear plant to provide clean, affordable energy to millions of households. Call on albo to lift the ban: act.weplanet.org/overturn-aus...

took one of these fuckers to the thigh myself back in 2020, thankfully from far enough away that i didn't need surgery. solidarity to everyone holding it down in Los Angeles. y'all're real ones.

Join @weplanetaus.bsky.social tonight 7pm AEST as we chat with Simon Eassom of Food Frontier about alternative proteins in Australia! Recent exciting developments include Vow's cultured quail meat being approved for sale in Australia and NZ. Where to next? www.weplanetaustralia.org/event-detail...

So yeah it's now 3pm and still no pension. There are people who don't have backup beans like we do and finance wankers want us to transition to a cashless economy while the banks play oopsie daisy with our capitalism lifeblood. Monotonous ineptitude.

A remake of Alfred Hitchcock's THE BIRDS set in the modern era and called CORVID-19. is this anything

✨ ethanol ✨ is ✨ just ✨ strip ✨ mining ✨ with ✨ plants

The nature of agriculture has always left it vulnerable to the weather. As our climate changes, we are seeing an increase in severe weather events, such as droughts and floods, that are impacting farmers and our food security.

It may not have been obvious in the documentary, but I fundementally align with the left at my core. The modern welfare state is why I am even alive today & helps deliver the most socially just society. Nuclear's steadfast clean, reliable energy is emblematic of this society.

A hamburger with the lot; no meat. Why can I get a veggie burger at McDonald’s Poland, but not McDonald’s Australia? Do better, Macca’s!

I'm part of the climate anxiety generation, but I found hope in science. Championing science has resulted in me being attacked by the left for defending the science on nuclear energy, & the right for defending climate science. Science, not dogma, will lead to a better future.

The anti-nuclear movement’s post-election “victory” isn’t for the environment — it’s a win for confusion and delay. Fear and political point scoring won't power the future or reduce emissions. Aussies deserve better from politicians and civil society. www.weplanetaustralia.org/post/end-of-...

The elephant in the climate space is the cow - @georgemonbiot.bsky.social Innovations in food technologies mean we can now produce the foods we love with a fraction of the environmental impact. But for farmers, producers & consumers to benefit, we need our government to act. shorturl.at/JMy71

Support nuclear but voted for Labor? Ask @albomp.bsky.social to lift the ban on 24/7, zero-emissions nuclear energy. Act now: act.weplanet.org/overturn-aus...

Antony Green on 730: “In Australia, because of compulsory voting, we see disengagement turn up in just voting for other parties“ Seriously. WTF. Green really has not coped with voters shifting from 2PP. People don’t votes for independents/Greens etc because they are disengaged with politics, FFS

Whether it was Labor or the Coalition, it was always going to be a win for fossil fuels. Hundreds of thousands of $$ have been spent on social media ads alone demonising clean nuclear energy — while fossil fuels continue to fly under the radar. Read more www.weplanetaustralia.org/post/press-r...

Vote like a renter in Bennelong! More scorecards at renters-election.au/policy thanks to @betterrenting.bsky.social #AusVotes2025 #RentersElection

It’s the #RentersElection! #BennelongVotes2025

This election wasn’t a victory for climate action. It was a win for the fossil fuel industry. EXCLUSIVE polling, commissioned by WePlanet Australia, shows that resources spent attacking nuclear should have been put toward fighting fossil fuels. www.weplanetaustralia.org/post/press-r...

Here's how we are tracking on some energy/emissions compared to the final year of the Howard govt. Good (but not fast enough) progress on renewables, middling performance on getting actual emissions down, and an absolutely huge increase in exports of coal and gas.

This is brilliant (also, it's time)
