"I fought for it once, I'll fight for it again"

Is the consensus among mainstream journalists that the White House slandering a man they delivered into slavery using a crudely manipulated photo in the president’s grasp in the Oval Office is just not a very newsworthy event?

My daughter is autistic and she literally wrote a poem this morning. She’s also just generally awesome. Fuck this guy.

I see it. I have lived it. 83 years ago, the U.S. government turned upon a group of its own citizens and residents and sent them to internment camps without due process. I was there among them. American fascism is back. It is here. It is now.

Ambassador Spock modeling the proper “fuck you, make me” response to intimidation tactics. Our current-day institutions could learn a lot from him.

Am I depressed because of what's happening or am I depressed because of the people who somehow didn't see it coming? Both. It's both.

After getting some rest, I am in awe of everyone who continues to lift their voice and speak out. This is a moment for our country, and we must make a choice about the America we want to be.

I’m not going to the Joint Address. I will be live posting and chatting with you all here instead. Then going on IG Live after.

It bears repeating.

Time to write something big again...

Scene of the Week, 8 of 52 Bonding via food truck equipment – Chef (2014) – youtu.be/2hr6XSNsuiQ “Chef” has quickly become one of my favorite Jon Faverau films. It was a return to a much smaller scale of filmmaking, and it contains some of the best scenes involving cooking.

Scene of the Week, 7 of 52 Fixing the Soup, Ratatouille (2004) – youtu.be/n8FrlmP9Gdk One of, if not my favorite scenes from Brad Bird’s “Ratatouille” isn’t very long – but it exemplifies the joy and passion that cooking can bring. It also does some clever stuff with framing, editing and lighting.
