Also, that’s not to agree with Jennings of course. Dodger stadium is private property.

And it’s not defamation to say he’s fine with them suing. Saying they actually obstructed would even still be borderline.

Where’s the obsidian? I’m glad I’m not the only one who saw that

Isn’t reactionary centrist an oxymoron? Again, this attitude is why the right wins - they focus on winning first and stabbing each other in the back after.

If only we had an actual OSC who cared to enforce that.

The government should fear the people. Always remember the 2nd amendment doesn’t have an R-only limitation.

I don’t think she needs the speech and debate clause, and I don’t think it applies outside of Congress itself, but I’m no expert so there’s probably some caveat I’m missing.

I like the “these are professional, paid protesters”. Bondi knows. She wrote the checks.

Treason, bribery, and whatever else you think is worth impeaching over. It’s nice that they made it open ended.

He’d still be better than a Republican. If he wins he still wouldn’t be a Republican. If he doesn’t win the primary then the system works too.

It’s been fact checked as false somewhere if I recall what I saw yesterday correctly.

Insert “first time?” Meme here.

That’s probably the best comparison, especially for cases involving those injured by second hand smoke.

As soon as happened all Republican attorneys general would file every BS charge they could against the left to maintain their grip on power. It sounds like common sense but it’s a TERRIBLE idea.

This is a great way to create a weaponized government. The party in power would seek politicly motivated convictions to bar their opponents from running under the most BS circumstances. The first man to get electoral votes from prison wasn’t a Republican, he was a socialist.

The Knicks are the Celtics of this series. Pacers in 6.

I suppose if the standard is less than but for cause then perhaps.

Because it won’t go anywhere. It’s probably too attenuated to pin on oil and gas companies, especially when society at large is responsible for the demand of the energy they produce.

I’m a classic beta male - I only let a select few try me and I get better after every interaction.

I had to do some Google-fu on this and found that this was indeed a real order properly issued by this district court. Apparently the 5th circuit makes all their lower courts prints their orders in the same pretentious font.

Something hit close to home so she changed her opinion? That just shows she’s capable of thought. Trump doubles down even when it hits him personally.

If you learn something new, the test is successful. Testing is about gathering data and informing design, not (necessarily) about achieving all objectives (thought that’s always a bonus). If this test failed it never would have executed.

It also gives them zero repercussions if Congress decides to ignore all the misdeeds and sit idly by.

This doesn’t even have to make sense for me to support it!

Feds absolutely do this and courts absolutely sign off on this

The guy with the bullhorn nobody cares about lol.
comment in response to post
States rights actually don’t, the 10th amendment refers to powers not explicitly granted in the constitution to the states, and immigration enforcement is granted to the Feds, plus there’s the supremacy clause. But they aren’t immune from the 4th Amendment.

I want to be that guy that says stop the circular firing squads and stop fighting each other and focus on winning elections. But maybe we need this turnover to get back to winning.

It’s actually not all terrible - this was the Army getting ahead of Doge and doing it their way, not Musks way.

Like you, I’m a human being with valid opinions, not all popular. But by all means, continue to dehumanize me, just like the right does.

Unless she’s a Republican, it really doesn’t make a difference right now. But I suppose it’s something…

There’s a lot of that in the Constitution, and there’s places where citizen is mentioned which means the drafters knew how to differentiate between the 2 and chose to use “persons” over citizens in this particular amendment. In case you wanted some more support for your argument.

Had to pay the lawyer fees for tax evasion somehow I guess. I hope dispatch gets illegally reposted without permission and goes bankrupt, but then again, nobody will want to repeat their fascist bullshit, let alone steal it.

What exactly legally disqualified him? And as I type I think you mean the 14th amendment and I think, oh, you’re probably right.

Giving Pakistan nuclear weapons in response to India’s development of them was actually great foresight. Or a terrible miscalculation depending on the news tomorrow.

They hadn’t yet been ruled against in court so it wasn’t against the law at the time, theoretically. Plus, there’s way more impeachable offenses than this.
