Refusing to invade allied countries would also be appreciated.

I’ve never seen anyone properly ratioed on Bluesky before, so thanks at least for that

The 13% don’t genuinely like him. They just hear “do you like Trump” as “are you a true blue Prairie son/daughter” and they can only answer one way

Given that Black infant mortality rates are more than double White rates, it’s probably almost impossible to talk about the subject without breaking the new regime’s newspeak rules. abcnews.go.com/Health/black....

Jon Stewart did a bit on this on TDS years ago. “I’m not SAYING your mother is a whore. I’m just ASKING… if she accepted money for sex.”

Possibly these are folks who don’t want to be seen in public with messy hair?

This isn’t really journalism, either. They’re not trying to inform us. They’re trying to provoke a reaction, which I don’t think deserves the same cherished space.

I love the little detail of leaving out the “the” in “Employee of the Month” to make it sound more Russian

I feel like the French are pretty stubborn when it comes to their own spellings for countries—Maroc, Tchad, etc.—but maybe every language is like that! I know the Japanese lump the UK all together as イギリス (Igirisu)

Notwithstanding the “a bike nearly ran me over” anecdotes you’ll hear from some pedestrians. (They never seem to actually get hit by the cyclists though)

Does she really not get that old vehicles cost more to maintain? “I mean it’s one banana, Michael, what could it cost, 10 dollars?”

Yup. If I had to guess I’d say they help for a month or two after installation, then people figure out that they mean the cops HAVEN’T put a speed trap in that location

It’s a struggle. I’ve been burdened with specs since I was 5 and always went for wire-rimmed/rimless/minimal since I wish they weren’t there. But the dominant vibe for the past 15 years is “glasses you would put on a Hollywood actress to temporarily make her a librarian”
