hey guys, check out this disturbing video from Tesla's robotaxi deployment here in Austin youtu.be/d9kpyGqKwJk?...

Tesla's "robotaxi" sure seems to be ok with breaking the speed limit every once in a while, as a treat what I've seen hasn't been flagrantly out of step with prevailing traffic patterns, but it's also not the kind of disciplined legal compliance you might think would come with automation

Media coverage was the actual target of the Fordow strike. they missed

A huge blow was dealt to hurricane forecasters this week as a critical tool was abruptly terminated by the Department of Defense and NOAA. The immediate discontinuation of data from three weather satellites will severely impact hurricane forecasts this season and beyond. More ⬇️

just saying, if an pro-transit mayor wants to fund some ambitious policies, there is a massive goldmine of 3 million free parking spaces in New York City just sitting there waiting to be metered

Fox News is woke now.

Some people think this is an exaggeration but I will say that if I were HHS Secretary and my goal were to kill as many children as possible, it would be difficult to distinguish the actions I would take from those that Kennedy has taken.

Yikes - worse than I expected at 1.974M Things getting worse for the labor market :(

This figure is wild:

Hegseth: "President Trump directed the most complex and secretive military operation in history, and it was a resounding success." Move over D Day!

🎉 HUGE!!!!! This is a BFD…assuming they don’t just fire or blow off the parliamentarian.

To the layperson aerodynamics might as well be witchcraft. And these tubes here, designed to set Matthew Hopkins running to the nearest haberdashery, are the peculiar abuse of physics known as the Flettner rotor.

And they say service journalism is dead

Here comes uncle Sully in the New York Times to tell us uppity queers to settle down.

After Kemi Badenoch mocks Keir Starmer for skipping PMQs in order to attend the G7 and NATO summits, Conservative MP Mark Pritchard condemns her "partisan" jibes, adding that "I may get the whip withdrawn for saying that, but so be it. There are some things that go beyond party politics."

WTF

It renders the USA utterly unvisitable.

‘The No10 communications team has banned any official from speaking at events that include question and answer sessions, or where the media are expected to be in attendance’. Ridiculous. www.instituteforgovernment.org.uk/comment/gove...

"You don't know my intelligence. He goes to another school."

Well done Lib Dems. Politico: "MPs will vote on Labour’s plan to [allow] foreign state ownership of newspapers at 15%, after Lib Dem MPs scuppered the govt's attempt to pass secondary legislation without a full vote (on the nod)" We'll see which MPs are happy with legislating for the Telegraph...

🆕 It’s good news that the government has promised to review the unfair GP funding formula. Read @becksfisher.bsky.social’s thoughts about this in @theguardian.com. Our full statement on the announcement is here: www.nuffieldtrust.org.uk/news-item/gp...

Every time the Tories come up with a policy they seem to pick one bound to make them less popular Politico: "Shadow biz sec Andrew Griffith is promising to dismantle the Employment Rights Bill if his party enters govt" So Tories will go into the next GE shouting: "Bring back zero hours contracts!"

See @sjwrenlewis.bsky.social's latest on a 2% levy.

I'm currently at a housing conference & it's a slightly out of body experience politically, given the vibe here is thrilled with getting £39bn + basically all they asked for in spending review. Not that govt isn't in deep trouble elsewhere but it's a striking eg of how easily the popular stuff...

A Reform MP lying about crime, ‘othering’ people again with no evidence. Dan Price, Cheshire Police & Crime Commissioner, also claims he has never been approached by Ms Pochin. He said: "I simply don’t recognise the picture that Sarah Pochin tries to paint of Runcorn – it’s not based on reality.

Clearly American democracy is thriving 🙄

A remarkable snapshot of just how much damage Donald Trump's second term has done to British public trust in the US government. (YouGov Blue)

Watch the Tesla supervisor in the front passenger seat of @heydave7's Supervised Robotaxi hit the "Stop in Lane" button when FSD fails to stop for a reversing truck. Elon Musk your defective “Robotaxis” are dangerous and should be banned.

folks are building lists of all the Tesla robotaxi failures, and it's important to remember that we're talking about a fleet of <20 vehicles, over three days, in one the smallest and easiest geofences possible, based on coverage from 100% fanboy influencers www.reddit.com/r/SelfDrivin...

New York City: where apparently it's a grand conspiracy theory when the immigrants are replacing the immigrants that replaced the immigrants that replaced the immigrants that replaced the immigrants that replaced the Native Americans.

This chart tells you everything you need to know about the NYC mayoral race. Everyday New Yorkers vs money.

How on earth did JD Vance have the gall to lecture Europe about ‘free speech’

Now the COVID-19 excuse has passed, supplement quacks need to work harder to sell their pills. This one is no exception, a PhD in plant aquatics, or aquaponics and food production, pretending to have medical knowledge. What it is about is selling his Vitamin D pills for monetary gain. 1/10

Trump on Iran's nuclear capabilities: "It's gone for years ... CNN is scum. MSDNC is scum. The New York Times is scum. They're bad people. They're sick. And what they've done is they've tried to make this unbelievable victory into something less."

These Tesla robotaxi ride videos are indistinguishable from satire. Waiting 30 minutes for a ride that takes 10, countless Waymos passing by, filling the time with wildly misinformed commentary, then getting dropped in the middle of the street, where the car gets stuck. youtu.be/C_pSZv6THfA?...
