I haven't read the solo Lois series, so I don't know how they handle that. Is she taking on smaller threats? Is she more cautious? Does she get plot armor? How do they write her character differently such that she can survive her adventures without Superman's help?

An ordinary person, even one as talented as Lois, isn't really supposed to be able to escape multimillion-dollar death traps, alien space prisons, or the clutch of a 30-foot gorilla. That's what metahumans (and insomniac billionaires) are for... usually.

That's a great kind of character to carry a solo story if they have the skills needed to get themselves out of trouble once they've found their way into it. For plot reasons, Lois often doesn't have those skills - and to be fair, she does live in a world full of supervillains.

I guess I'm saying that part of why Lois works so well as a love interest and working partner to Clark is that she's the one who tends to poke the wasp's nest. She goes where she's not supposed to and tries to fix things herself, even when she's badly outmatched.

I wasn't trying to say that being related to someone in the military makes her a feminist icon. I was saying that being raised by a general explains why she so often chooses violence. What makes her a feminist icon is that she's an early example of a capable, independent career woman action hero.

In America, it used to be called the "Back to Africa" movement.

Maybe if she trained with one of the Bat-Family or Zatara (Or maybe Zatana? I don't know if this is her thing...) to learn escape artistry, she could get herself out of the trouble she inevitably gets herself into.

Oh, hell yeah! I'd be all over that! Lois has this bad habit of getting in over her head, though, which is why Clark is constantly having to rescue her. She'd have to start being a little more careful to carry her own series. Then again, she has rescued Clark a few times over the years.

I love dryads! They're criminally under-used in fantasy media! I am, unfortunately, dirt poor, so I can't bid on her.

Feminist icon Lois Lane. She kicks ass and looks good doing it! The decision to make her the daughter of a general makes a lot of sense.

Huh... it only uploaded the still... So, it was supposed to be an animated gif of Lois picking up the tommy gun and opening fire on a car full of thugs who are shooting back at her. Even back in the 40's, Lois was not afraid to kick some ass when the situation called for it.

In my servers, they show up in the banned list. I don't know if that means the bot is actually gone, though.
