Photographed them for the first time today in L.A. They are certainly weird and wonderful. π€π

So great watching these little guys grow up, especially after the disappointment of last year. I have them on a computer screen or a TV throughout the day so I can sneak looks as I work. π¦

Thereβs a few in my timeline - this post below is one of my GBH favorites. Clearly Iβd better get to it with my editing. ππ

Nice shots! They are great photo subjects - so many crazy poses and actions, especially now in breeding season. π€ I have many (potentially) good GBH photos in my library - I really should get them edited and posted.

Nice of that strange big bird to give him a lift, save all that swimming. ππ

Great picture of a fun little bird. ππ

Wonderful! It really gives a sense of the environment without diminishing the beauty and power of the bird. ππ

Wonderful! I love the way mist and fog textures a photo and makes it look painterly. ππ

Thank you. Yes, that ended up being the punchline to the story π - I had some shots with that duck cut off in the corner, but also had the presence of mind to take some with all the duck , and that one was the best.

Thank you. I always appreciate it when others do it, so I try to do the same.

I forgot to answer your second question - of course, please use it, and Iβd love to see the result. ππ

The Tamron is a good lens, low max. aperture (f5 -6.7), very sharp and responds very well to the Fuji autofocus. It is a bit heavy though, itβs an adapted full frame lens, and the zoom ring is rather stiff. Very good for the price, but if you have the extra money the Fuji 150-600 is a better lens.

Thank you. Yes, I use the X-T5 for wildlife photography, with the Tamron 150-500. Itβs a really good camera, though not ideal for birds. I may switch my X-T3 for an XH2s for better speed performance. I wonβt be selling the X-T5 anytime soon though. ππ

I like to listen to podcasts as I do the household chores - feeds my mind while I tackle the boring stuff. Iβll give it a try. ππ

Itβs suffering a little from the recent fire damage, lots of burn scars and scattered wildlife; but itβs spring, with plenty of green regrowth and spring bird activity.
But still highly recommended for bird photography, especially at ungodly hours of the morning. π¬π

I hope it is - having three new eagles would be wonderful. And the babies are so funny and cute. Iβve had the live feed on in the background all day. π€π

I love the way the turkey gives one last peck at the truck bumper to send him on his way. ππ
