The Triple Team is online and in inboxes! On 1. Man oh man that was a poorly played game for the Jazz. Why I hated it so much. 2. Answering @addshurtz4's question on how the Jazz approach tanking. 3. A list of good things, as a palate cleanser www.sltrib.com/sports/jazz/...

Pistons beat Jazz 134-106. That level of play made me legitimately grumpy... just bad basketball from the Jazz all night long. So many times young players could have made the right play and just chose not to. So, so, so long to go in this rebuild. Road trip now.

Jaden Springer not returning to the game due to back spasms, Jazz say.

While there are many candidates, this might be my choice for the worst basketball the Jazz have played this season. The Jazz have 18 turnovers before halftime. They are shooting 38%. They are getting destroyed. They have not responded to Will Hardy's challenge in any way.

Oscar Tshiebwe is indeed playing in his third game in 25 hours, which is in sharp contrast to the rest of the Jazz's load management policy.

11 turnovers in the first quarter, Jazz? 11?

The Triple Team is online and in email inboxes! On 1. Will Hardy was very unhappy postgame. What did he say? 2. Who was at fault for the bad defense? Let's watch the film. 3. Oscar Tshiebwe's career night. www.sltrib.com/sports/jazz/...

Pelicans beat Jazz 128-121. An important loss for the tank. A wild game +/- wise, Kyle Filipowski nearly had a triple-double but also had a -32. Oscar Tshiebwe had career-high 16p, 13 rebs, and a +25. Jazz bench outscored NOPs 64-25.

Will Hardy called a timeout he didn't have... so Pelicans get the T.

Stealing this

The media is very excited for the Oscar Tshiebwe podium game

Half #1 successfully tanked, Jazz down 66-57. Olynyk has 16, Zion has 16, Jazz offense struggliing inside the arc, going only 9-25.

The Triple Team is online! On: 1. John Collins' tremendous game, tremendous season 2. The odds the Minnesota pick ends up in the lottery 3. Mike Conley's career www.sltrib.com/sports/jazz/...

Jazz win! Wolves wanted a foul on the last drive, but didn't get it! 117-116 the result. John Collins: 29 points, 12 rebs. Collier: 11/14. Kessler: 9/12, game-high +23.

A sketchy Jazz offensive possession... but nice work from Martin to get the ball to Collins to get the ball to Kessler for the go-ahead dunk. Jazz up 117-116, 9.7 seconds left, MIN ball.

10-2 run from Minnesota to take the lead here with 90 seconds left.

Walker Kessler a +28 tonight, Isaiah Collier a +23

What a pass from Isaiah Collier in traffic, holy guacamole

Wolves up 67-56. John Collins has 18 points... but three Minnesota players have 13 or more. Jazz have 8 turnovers (good for them), but have only forced one MIN turnover... not good given the Wolves' absences.

Jazz starters: Collier, Sexton, Juzang, Collins, Kessler.

Jordan Clarkson and Lauri Markkanen out tonight, Jazz say, while John Collins and Collin Sexton will be available.

The Triple Team is online and in inboxes! On 1. A "weird" game where Clarkson missed all of his shots and Kessler made all of his 2. Cody Williams being skinny really hurts him 3. Is it good to layer actions/disguise ahead of iso and PnR? www.sltrib.com/sports/jazz/...

Kings win 118-101. Walker Kessler had 25 points, 16 rebounds, five assists on 10-10 shooting. KJ Martin had 16p on 6-10 FG. Everyone else struggled though, and the defense got a little layup liney. Homestand continues Friday against old friends for Minnesota. See you then!

Truly embarrassed to be an RSL fan today. They lost outright to a Costa Rican team over the course of 180 minutes. No small sample. I supported the Gomez and Chicho sales, under the understanding those players would be replaced. They haven't been. It's truly awful management.

Jordan Clarkson realllly struggling... 0-8 FG, just airballed that last one

Jazz say John Collins, Lauri Markkanen, Collin Sexton all remain out tomorrow. Walker Kessler is upgraded to questionable.

The Triple Team is online and in inboxes! On 1. Jazz's in-paint shot selection decisions 2. Kyle Filipowski at the five, making it run 3. Jazz tickets are getting cheap! www.sltrib.com/sports/jazz/...

Key misses that last one, and the Jazz's comeback falls short. It wasn't a super well played hame, but an exciting one! Filipowski the best player tonight, IMO: 20/11/5/2/1 on 6-11 FG. Sensabaugh had 23, 8-13 FG, 4 reb, 1 a.

Grant goes 1-2. So Jazz have the ball, down 2, with the chance to tie or take the lead. 3.1 seconds left.

Can't take that bad of a 2-point attempt when you're down 3.

Lol at Jazz Bear just giving the t-shirt cannon to Benson Boone that whole timeout

Isaiah Collier from halfcourt at the halftime buzzer! That ended a 18-0 POR run where the Jazz played some real, real bad basketball. Blazers lead 61-51 at the half.

Will Hardy leads the NBA in first quarter challenges with 13 this season.

Jazz were trapped in the halfcourt corner for 21 seconds of that last possession... really impressive work from Camara, Henderson, and Blazers D.

The Triple Team is online and in inboxes! On 1. The Jazz's young core outplaying the Rockets young core on this night 2. Keyonte George's 30 point game and starter v. bench numbers 3. Walker Kessler throwing lob passes? www.sltrib.com/sports/jazz/...

Jazz beat Rockets 124-115. George: 30p, 8r, 6a. Markkanen: 23/10. Collier: 12/10. The good: a great, impressive night for most of the Jazz's young players. The bad: Jazz now will be just .5 game out of the #4 tank spot with CHA losing, putting top odds of Cooper Flagg at risk.

Jazz are gonna win this one. Up 7, 46 seconds left, with the ball. 23-8 run turned this game around on the back of the young guys (plus Markkanen, tbf) making some terrific plays.

Walker Kessler hasn't played in both ends of a B2B in six weeks before tonight, and you can see why — he's too useful for winning. 8 ORebs, 2 blocks, and that last important putback basket to put the Jazz up 8.

Rockets up 62-56 at the half. Keyonte George has 20p/6r. Jazz only four turnovers that half, which is significantly better than normal. No one else really has it going for the Jazz, though.

The Hardy challenge on the Filipowski offensive foul was unsuccessful.

Keyonte George up to 16 points with 10:11 left in 2Q... if he's this hot shooting the ball, the other stuff matters much less

The Jazz struggled against the Oklahoma City Thunder's vaunted defense — can the Jazz's D model OKC's? Plus, two Jazz debuts and rookie Cody Williams' chance to play against his brother.

Thunder beat the Jazz 130-107. This one went quite to form and was never particularly close. John Collins played well, had 26p. Keyonte George had 20. Kessler had 19 rebounds but only 4 points. Collier had 12 assists but only 9p. Rockets here tomorrow. Same time, same place.

The way OKC defends with all five guys throughout the whole game is both really impressive and something the Jazz's youth could definitely learn from.

Thunder up on the Jazz 68-47 at the half. I mean, 3-point shooting is some of this, it's not quite that bad. But the Thunder are also beating the Jazz at every other aspect of the game, so it's hard to talk too much about shooting variance.

The levels to which Kevin Young is outcoaching Bill Self in this game... BYU's just getting wide open shot after shot

At BYU's Marriott Center to watch NBA Draft prospect Egor Demin against Kansas... will write a prospect profile on him in the next couple of weeks

Clippers pull out the win on the Jazz in OT: 120-116. Filipowski career high ties Jazz lead in scoring before fouling out: 20 points, 10 rebs. Markkanen also had 20. It's All-Star Break time! Keyonte George will play his third consecutive day in the Rising Stars game tomorrow.
