You can accurately age someone by determining if their response to ‘Stop’ is ‘in the name of love’, hammer time’, or ‘collaborate and listen’

My toddlers-at-the-time applied washes wherever they wanted to this terrain piece. It’s now my favorite. #Nerdlings #FindFolkFriday

Giant robots. The idea of piloting a giant mech is a deep seated fantasy, probably stemming from watching Robot Jox many decades ago.

Broken 3d prints? No problem! Broken carbine becomes unarmed Medic with a few extra pouches. Broken sword gets a metal spear and a headswap to become a nervous ensign #Nerdlings #Quar

You may visit Gibraltar or understand Gibraltar. Basically you’re stuck between the rock and a hard place.

Messed up this print, but with a little creative kitbashing I got ogre it #nerdlings #kitbashing #minipainting #miniatures

Remembered another one Met @daraobriain.bsky.social and Ed Byrne on a flight to Phoenix. I was very drunk as I had consumed ALL of the gin. Sorry

This model I swear… Broke in 4 different places repeatedly, had to completely replace his head cause the original horns broke completely off, painted and repainted 3 separate times, and his back skull banner disappeared into the ether during a move Still real proud of him at the end of it all

I was trying to make him into an NCO giving a hand signal, but things looked dumb. So before the glue set I rotated the arm and stuck a pouch under his hand to look like he's about to reload. #Quar #Nerdlings

I was playing around with a spare Palatine and extra Seraphim bits, got it assembled and painted before I realized I glued the wings on backwards. Oops.

Little pond at the bottom was because I accidentally scraped off some of the basing paste and had to pivot

Found this lad in a box of primed minis from last time I was in the hobby. Something has obviously reacted with the paint I used (not resin model so not mould release). I quite like how it looks though and keep meaning to do something with transparent inks or such to try and preserve the pattern.

He's fine now but this guy was a weird challenge to get done and I had to rebuy the mini in the end + have 2 tries with this one even.
comment in response to post
I built both of this guy’s legs exactly the same, and didn’t realize my error until the glue had already start to set. I was able to save most of it with some quick hobby work. I don’t think anyone but me has ever known about or noticed this until now. #nerdlings

I „accidentally” glued this Sentinel shut without inserting a pilot. Okay, I admit it - I was lazy and thought nobody would notice! But it was a cursed decision because every time I use it in a game I ask myself: “Who’s driving though?”

The horrors of the warp are why this Legionary's head is on backwards and not because I put him together before I admitted that I needed to wear reading glasses while building models

Others Met The Shaman backstage at the radio one roadshow in the 90’s. I was like 12, they were nice. Got a bit drunk with Keith Flint in Tokyo.

My stone trolls were painted with no real plan, and turned out better than expected.

The primer on the Genestealer Cult Neophytes did a number of splatter/grainy/blotchy, but as I intended them as desert scorched raiders, it played out OK.

Ordered a figure for D&D who was way too big for what I wanted her for, then as I was looking at her I thought, hey what if you made her into a Weirdgal for the Ork army.
comment in response to post
The weathering on this model where the bare metal can be seen was achieved because of my manhandling the thing while the primer hadn't fully cured. I was test building it and taking the paint off of edges and corners. Decided to keep it because it felt very natural. #gaslands #diecast #nerdlings

It was a sheer accident that Nuffle chose Alpert Appleyard for the Bloodbowl life. Here, we have recreated his two catches (2 out of 10 attempts)... neither of which ended with a score. #Nerdlings #Bloodbowl

Damned 'Mech tech got drunk when reassembling this Archer 2R after a battle and put the lower left leg casing on backwards. Good thing it still runs or Pineapple's Shitkickers would be in real trouble on their next contract. #Battletech #Mechwarrior #Nerdlings #FindFolkFriday

This week's theme is...oops. Let's see things that went accidentally wrong or right. This Beadbot model's primer went weirdly grainy. It took ages to clean off and it lost some detail. So I pressed on and painted it as a tired bot. #Nerdlings #FindFolkFriday #Bangarang #tabletopgames

I tried using purple citadel shade for panel lining. Don't do that... It's really not designed for that and made this project take 10 times as long as it should have. That said I think it looks pretty good in the end!
