#ImmaculateGrid has me looking at the ROY list again. In '85, the two ROY winners (V. Coleman, O. Guillen) each hit only one HR, by far the lowest combined HRs outside of years where only pitchers won. The '91 and '92 AL ROYs (C. Knoblauch, P. Ichiro set a record that will never be broken and that should gain him automatic entry into the HOF. 262 hits in a single season is unreachable. He also has the 10th most hits in a season (242 in 2001) and only he, Darin Erstad ('00) and Wade Boggs ('85) have 240 hits since three guys did it in 1930
