That does make sense. And makes the look on Trump’s face even more pitiful.

Oh, I was giving her credit with a tip of the hat. The blame goes to Trump and Musk for different but valid reasons.

Part of me thinks his mother is why he muttered profanity at Trump with confidence in the first place.

If we look at only two and compare the most recent placement for the top of their respective grids (over 15 years of experience and the highest possible "level"), this is what it means for the first 3% increase:

Whatever happened to all of the investors who backed HDVD? It was quite the tech race. Biggest since VHS won against..... who again? Ask "younger" people what the competition was for blue-rays or VHS. No wonder the bro-autocracy is scared.

This feels like a sign that inclusion as a concept is done… it needs to change; let’s be clear. The unions wouldn’t be on strike or thinking of striking if the system was working. Wonder who gets to influence that impending change…. The bar was set when Champion got to "update" social studies

Reminder: Workers = Education Support Staff Customers = CHILDREN and their families The company is a franchise model: The Ministry of Education is the Franchisor, and the Boards are the Franchisees. The Franchisor caps the revenue no matter how many customers walk through the door.

If the price of things goes up but your income doesn't, it’s not things that are getting more expensive; it’s you that’s getting cheaper. 7/ www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...

Labour is a resource; it’s THE resource that the common people OWN, but as the cost of living goes up, that resource is devalued relative to all other goods and services. You trade your time and energy for money to buy those goods and services. 6/

If that job requires a certain level of skill or qualification but does not pay well enough to live AND pay back the loan required to get the qualification in the first place, then the employer is acknowledging the job is not worth your time or expertise. 5/

That means our most vulnerable students aren't worth having a well-rested, well-trained, healthy person to be with them as the supports and services they are ENTITLED to as per the Education Act section 11(4). 4/

What would happen to O&G businesses if they paid a Maximum of 34K for those ten months? Would the employees come back after the shutdown? 2/

Public trustees, via ASBA, keep telling us that everything is great! No Student Left Behind, huh? That’s institutional gaslighting. So, what exactly, are they doing to help the 800k+ students who choose public every day? The kids falling through cracks are a breach of the mandate.

It’s patternless - which means I get to decide when it’s done. Which might be part of the problem. We traveled this summer and I started with redwoods and then the Oregon coast.

We currently allow rhinoplasty and breast augmentation/reduction for minors. Yes. As long as they work with their parents and medical professionals.

PS… Ministerial Order as a political Cartoon:

Read the Ministerial Order and tell me if that's what you see in public schools right now. What would need to change to actually meet those standards? Fin

If the teachers go on strike, it's because they want to deliver the promise of a world-class education, but they can't without the supports and services the legislation says kids with identified needs are entitled to.
comment in response to post
Webber had 91 kids in that grade, and 0 were below. World class. That's the promise. 800,000+ kids are in public schools.
comment in response to post
Are those results causing targeted help for this year's grade 10s, or is it all "differentiation" in large classes? "Help" is not included in the funding manual... there is no SOP. What's the point of tests if they don't result in the supports and services for kids with identified needs?

18,922 students scored lower than 42 on their Math 9 PATs. There are sample questions here: www.alberta.ca/system/files...
comment in response to post
38% of the 49797 grade 9s who wrote the PAT are BELOW acceptable standards in Math for the province as a whole. Wanna guess how low a grade "acceptable" is? 42. The screenshot shows you the range. Excellence is getting 80+

These two screenshot results are Total for the Province vs Webber Academy. Grade 9 last year means this year's grade 10s and the grads of 2027. They're your co-workers and neighbours in 2027 and beyond.

Standardized tests are the government's preferred choice for "measuring" outcomes. However, what are we really measuring when we standardize the "outputs" but not the "inputs"?
comment in response to post
Which schools are considered world-class? - The ones who get the photo-ops with the Minister.
comment in response to post
Why do parents of public schools settle for less than what the Ministerial Order states? We standardize the "outputs" but not the "inputs," - what goes into creating a world-class school that meets the Ministerial Order?
comment in response to post
Literally - that's the legal standard that is promised by our government. Ministerial Orders are a big deal. It IS the standard that the Education Act REQUIRES every student to have the opportunity to meet. - I worded it that way for a reason.

Alberta CAN afford to live up to its promise of World-Class education for EVERY student. It chooses not to.
