Ideal weekend of EPL match results for #nufc, no question about it. Some wanted a Villa-Chelsea draw yesterday, but I think a Villa win was the ideal outcome if you assumed a Newcastle win against Forest today.

That second half was symptomatic of a long-term cultural pathology at Newcastle United. I can’t remember a recent era when we weren’t prone to taking our foot off the gas when cruising comfortably. I’m not defending the performance, just highlighting the difficulty in overcoming something like that.
