The chairman doesn't own it, so the possive aprostrophe isn't strictly gramatically required. It's an award named after the chairman, of which the company has presumably had a plural number over time. Like an Airmans Award is named in honour of all airmen (& women).

America's definition of a tyrant only ever applied to regimes unsympathetic to American interests, and it's nearly always been a bipartisan position.

That's an interesting take given that large parts of America, including the current government, seem to think that the Confederacy and keeping black people and natives in their place weren't such bad ideas.

So tragic that it was initially renewed for a second season, getting my hopes up, before the plug was pulled. 😢

When half of the world's wealth is held by 1% of the world's population we can reasonably conclude that the problem has nothing to do with over population.

my crank idea: 100% tax bracket. use the laffer curve against them. once you hit a certain point you simply cannot get any richer. congrats, you win, go live on your island or whatever

Local authorities are desperate for a solution that will stop people complaining about (some) boys. Until we start treating children and young people as fully human, people with as much right to public space as anyone else, authorities will no doubt continue to ignore what they need.

Still plenty of time to be eligible for the draft though.

I have no idea why people continue to make this asinine argument. There are numerous reasons why the Gaza genocide receives more moral outrage than other atrocities. And even if you ignore them, "there are other genocides too" is not a legitimate criticism of the people trying to stop it!

Maybe there should be a march on the Capital. People could even poop on desks.

No mention in any of this that the only nuclear power in the Middle East is Israel.

Agreed, it's great and surprisingly consistent with the book.

Don't worry. The Supreme Court has his back. The order will be stayed pending a full court case, which will take almost exactly 3.5 years to wind its way through the court system.

Yes, although unilaterally and pre-emptively attacking Iran may as well be an annual event at this point.

Stay pending resolution of a full court case, which will take almost exactly 3.5 years to work is way through the court system.

Emergency appeal to Supreme Court. Supreme Court stays injunction pending a full case which will take exactly 3 1/2 years to wind its way through the various courts.

I hate contributing to a pile-on, but sheesh, if pride makes you uncomfortable maybe the problem is you.

The Right often gets away with hypocrisy because they own it, which at least comes across as authentic.
They're also so blatant and unapologetic about it that it can dilute the effectiveness of the argument, just like stealing a few pennies is a crime but stealing thousands is just business.

It's obviously not enough on it's own, like literally anything else.
However hypocrisy is the ultimate 21st century cardinal sin, just in front of inauthenticity, and it absolutely can be a devastating accusation.
It's not the crime that gets you, it's the cover up.

Also, men presenting a pro-tradwife argument have significant potential to dredge up uncomfortable and sexist tropes from less sophisticated high school debaters.
These aren't experienced uni debaters here, they're kids, and there are thousands of less problematic topics that don't platform sexism.

The artifice of debating requires both sides of a topic to be equally and reasonably arguable.
We wouldn't, I hope, consider debating "slaves were taught beneficial skills" (as in FL).
In this case we have an extremely niche fad that implies some pretty unsavory assumptions about gender roles.

The comment was sarcasm, but the reason for the down payment was to expand their production capacity so they could build our subs.
So yeah, if they're not going to build our subs they should give it back.

To be fair, it's always been clear that the various claims about free speech, states rights, pro-life, parent's rights, immigration, class war and everything else was a self-serving crock of shit.
Still, now the truth is undeniable we should be promoting their abject hypocrisy at every opportunity.
