That's on top of the fact that many large national news outlets themselves act authoritarian, requiring fealty to the organization, not tolerating dissent, being retaliatory towards employees who they feel don't kiss the ring appropriately, etc.

Oh no all good here. Well, I am a little traumatized from going to cover a protest and ending up spending my time handing out bottled water to parents whose kids got tear-gassed but you know, that’s how it goes
