Folks, don't take your dogs to a protest. So many things that stress your dog out can happen; lots of sounds, some loud and sudden. A "safe" protest, isn't safe, people can become aggressive, triggering your dog. The biggest thing, they're identifiers, easier to doxx you.

So. It has officially happened. I have been officially let go from my position at CDC. I wasn’t a probationary employee. I had stellar performance reviews every year. I’ll be ok. But please understand that many worked HARD to get into these positions and were doing great public health work.

My disdain for Soviet Russia did not come from growing up in 80s Cold War America (I was a little kid, I didn't care), it came from hearing 1st hand accounts from the Russian Jewish community I spent time with in the 90s. My bf's family was able to get out in the mid-80s.
