I’m with you: food security is a main concern, but also working to grow and harvest and share food is one of the best ways to build community! My canner is going to be in full operation this summer.

It’s like the Red Lobster property scam, with the public being fleeced instead of Red Lobster. Now we know what this is all about— a hostile government takeover so private equity can make bizzilions and the rest of us are impoverished financially AND ethically.

We are price gouged by much of the medical establishment.

Today I fill my mind and my heart with the splendor of the Tongass in preparation for protecting it through love and reverence. With the strength of an oak and with the softness of salmon bellies. With the bite of a seal and with the wisdom from holy wells.

I’ve yet to see a wild salmon in Ireland. I have seen 1 seal in the Foyle in 2.5 years. You cannot alienate the beings in an ecosystem from the web of life without reverberating, generational losses.

Imagine that loss: from uttering the name of a tree each time a word was spelled to having the lowest forest cover of any European nation.

The ancient forests of Ireland exist as cultural vestiges present in placenames— Derry means oak— and in the ogham alphabet, each letter named for a tree. Now less than 1% of that ancient tree cover exists in Northern Ireland.

From the German Resistance Museum, which I visited in Berlin on Wednesday. “Only a few artist and academics dared to rebel” against the Nazis. It seems most of civil society, including universities and nonprofits, are compromised by their funding models.

I was just at the German Resistance Museum in Berlin, where I learned universities, artists and intellectuals did very little to prevent the rise of fascism.

Because Dunleavy is an ecocidal maniac.

It’s often full, but not always. Two days ago I was able to leave a message but 5 minutes later my partner was unable to. Begich’s DC staff answered the phone yesterday. Murkowski’s mailbox is never full.

Is that Nosferatu?

Dumb and fascist. For universities to kowtow to this censorship and this attack on knowledge makes them complicit with authoritarianism.

I’ve been wondering if Musk accessing Alaskans’ financial info (and whatever else) is an affront to our right to privacy?
