👍 there are at least three poems on friendship - two very short, one (Well Dressed) slightly longer. They balance out the ones about loneliness!

That's really wonderful 🙏. I hope you enjoy it! Cover is by a very lovely talented book designer who like me is recovered from long covid so she really got it! 🥰

That sounds like hard work... Mandy Norman who did the last one is doing the new one too – idea is they will sit as a pair.

I guess new words can come into the language from any direction – very 2025! I'm good. Working on my new poetry collection, for publication this year. Cover in the works currently. Exciting! You?

Sounds interesting. This is my poetry book on chronic illness (it's uplifting, by the way!)

Maybe I’m missing the joke, but isn’t one purpose of writing to discover what you think - and writing poetry above all is the act of making something precise out of nebulous thoughts?

Maybe cozy slash stabby would be better, in that case? The en dash kind of suggests both vibes are happening at once 😁

Argh I meant Poems AS Friends

Yes, very satisfying! If you need ideas I can suggest my own poetry collection 😁😁☺️ … or Poems with Friends is a great anthology - came out last year & different famous people pick a poem and say why they like it. Really interesting. Or maybe you already have a stack of poetry books ready to go!

I’m reading poetry - always a win when there’s no time to get into a whole novel!

I’m liking ‘cozy-stabby’. Haven’t come across this genre before 😂

That abrupt transition ‘off you go darling, this is your new home now’ feels slightly outdated British boarding school post Covid!

Fascinating. I’ve observed the shift happening with school leavers unable to afford to live away from the family home or even not wanting to post covid, but just as the article says I didn’t realise how widespread it was or what a significant cohort that makes when added to mature students, etc.
