What do you mean? It’s clearly just about the topic of H1B, in reference to Elon saying he will “go to war” for H1Bs, a topic Noah obv supports. Which is a totally different topic than what you replied to, so you took this out of context to smear Noah. As much as I hate Elon, H1Bs are good.

@jamellebouie.net interesting paradox about this viewpoint because while true in this cycle its also saying voters can’t be trusted to self-govern, hence undermining the principle of democracy itself. Democracy is still the best (only) system that works, but it can vote itself out of existence.

There’s no world in which Trump will produce a better life for Americans unless you’re a billionaire or top .1% or a Christian fundamentalist. Literally everyone else will be worse off than if Harris was POTUS

Dems haven’t belittled anyone since arguable 2016 deplorables comment Biden actually had a pretty good presidency under the circumstances and covid-inflation Voters have concerns every cycle but this time its weighed against psychopathy and encouraged division and violence instead of normal stuff

Voters are definitely wrong this time. Whether just uninformed or apathetic to cruelty is debatable.

Also a lot more interesting than Frasier (both Frasier and Niles would vote Harris) is Martin. Martin is 100% law and order, ex-cop, masculine stoicism, and on paper a Trump supporter. But he also highly valued ethics and integrity and would probably vote Harris.

He wasn’t trying to help Trump win, he (like everyone) thought HRC would absolutely win no matter what, so he was trying to preemptively get ahead of perceived bias and GOP congressional ruckus after she wins and then he opens the investigation. But very dumb and history changing decision.

I remember when this happened and Trump said it was just “locker room talk” then I saw a survey request from NYT asking young male readers to weigh in on how they talk in the locker room 🙄. Rather than, you know, reporting the clear I truth that orange man is bad and he said a really very bad thing.

Both good points. Also important to realize is that this is the first presidential election since Dobbs. That has to scramble things a bit. And Dems really outperformed in post-Dobbs 2022 midterms.

You could convince a lot of people to drive the getaway car in your heist that would never gun down a group of innocent children who had like a 10% chance to ID you. But Trump is the guy who would go that far and not finch an ounce of guilt or remorse. Everyone else is just there for the ride.

There’s a notable demographic of rich business-minded people who (rightfully) understand that the rule of law is a key fundamental that lets business thrive, and therefore support Harris when they traditionally might support say Romney or Bush. But you’ll never see a media narrative on these guys

Americans don’t think about the rule of law often enough (or deeply enough)

His post is in very poor taste and you make a great point that scotus is obviously not impartial at all and not ruling according to law so they might as well just be a 3rd branch of congress or something. In fact let’s just expand the court every cycle and whoever wins gets scotus power for a bit.

Yeah, one data point to suggest RFK running 3rd party with Aaron Rogers will siphon more Trump voters than Biden voters

Gay marriage to start Freedom of religion on deck

They won’t do that because they want Trump’s AG to be able to prosecute Biden and Obama after he wins and ends free and fair elections.
