First: if it's "easier" to write relatable villains than relatable 'good guys,' that means something and should be considered as an independent question. *Why* have villains become so popular in recent decades? Because they reflect people's lived experiences within a broken system.

I skeet that I’m annoyed that everything trans people warned you about is coming true and I get a dozen random cis people going “uwu you’re a real boy” in my replies and thinking that’s their activism done for the day

It's unfortunate that the history of the Civil Rights movement has been rewritten as "We marched peacefully until our enemies grew a conscience". MLK and SNCC accomplished a major shift in policy using a deliberate, low-grade insurgency carried out with incredible skill and decades-long strategy.

When I went on the BBC Radio to talk about Brianna Ghey I discussed the questions/framing in advance with a produce and they were completely different to what the presenter decided to ask. I was just straightforwardly lied to.

These people never stop to ask why we won’t engage in debates. There were specific incidents, like Genderquake on C4 and the Caroline Lowbridge article, that led to the legacy media boycott. If legacy media apologised and sacked the journos responsible we’d trust them again!

They call us slurs, and we laugh and make them identities. They starve us and we feed each other. They beat us and we dress each others' wounds. They kill us, but still we rise from graves.
