That’d be nice. Also didn’t realise game ID worked with discs on the PS1 Memcard pro. I’ve had one since launch but never updated the firmware.

1080p. But they look fine on 4K displays imo. Slightly softer than a native 1080p screen but nowhere close to awful.

You always getting the same brand tires Rob? Used to have a Type R with 20’s (30 profile) and owners groups always recommended Continentals for the tougher sidewalls compared to Michelins which seems much more susceptible to pothole damage.

Whatever LFC solution insomniac use must break the readout for some reason. It’s detecting VRR and clearly active as it feels smooth. It’d be a constant stuttering mess without. I feel like it was the same in the unlocked 40fps mode before the pro patch actually, but can’t remember for sure.

Just gave it a try myself. Agree it feels much smoother unlocked. Curiously my C1 just reports 119fps the whole time. In performance mode unlocked you can see it varying though 🤷♂️

I thought 40fps was very decent on the base PS5 with VRR on smooth. Maybe it’s 30? Anyway I’m sure John will let us know

I would guess that smooth is capped to 40fps and being tripled to 120hz by the LFC? VRR smooth is there for if it drops but it almost never does? Then uncapped is going over 40fps and dropping down to doubling so you are seeing 80-90 reported? My understanding of LFC might be completely wrong though

Have you tried Fidelity Pro with VRR? Not had chance to check it out myself but folks at resetera are reporting 45-55fps with all the ray tracing turned on. I thought the old 40fps mode with VRR set to “smooth” felt very nice on the base PS5. Completely unlocked was too variable.
