I’m also getting 2 new drs - an endocrinologist & a cardiologist. All of these are covered by my Medicare. (For now!)They’re going to dig deeper into my case.I’m 1/3 of who I was before this mofo & I’ll be damned if I’m gonna just sit back after 5 years of catastrophe NFW.I’m fighting for my health.

Last year was a landslide of actionable findings. Not that everything that they’re trying to address them will work. But LC drs are better informed than ever about its physiology. I really think we have to be our own detectives. Which is majorly shitty /7

And almost everyone w LC is struggling to get answers. Where are they going to find them if they aren’t even looking for them? They’re not gonna find them w their pcp. I’ve had LC so long & had so much go wrong w me that I’ve been ingesting LC findings for as long as there’ve been any. /6

look at long haul LC people like me. The clinic is also a research facility so all my data is being funneled into LC research. They’ve just started me on off label rx & otc products that address every test result they got. ALL of this is beyond rare. BUT I believe in being your own advocate /4

particularly interested in doing all that. Im 5+ years into my LC. I have extreme fatigue & post exertional malaise & I have regular issues w finding words. All of which were borne out by the testing I’ve received. I don’t know why they let me in a a patient. Maybe it’s because they want a better /4

LC precision medicine clinic in NYC. The first of its kind. They are systemically assessing each of my systems. This is why I tell people to ask to get coded by their drs as LC & then find out what biomarkers are being tested elsewhere AND ASK FOR THOSE TESTS. No one here seems to be /3

with other people w LC. My mitochondria dysfunctional result did the same. My pots testing found Dysautonomia, same. My neuro testing found my memory isn’t working well in a specific way that again, is consistent w other people w LC. I’m extremely fortunate to have been accepted into a /3

The reason certain results on these tests can be deemed biomarkers is the number of times other people w LC have gotten the same result. SO my blood work detected some brain chemical deficiency. Some hormone deficiencies. Some systemic inflammatory processes. All fall into results consistent w /3

Yes. 35 blood tests. Also a mitochondria dysfunction test where you breath in a machine for 30 mins and your exhaled air tells you how your mitochondria are functioning. Also about an hour of neurotesting that distills your brain function to see where it’s not working well. Also Pots testing. /1

Yes. Diagnosed by my PC. I think it corresponded with the implementation of a medical code for the condition. I was also diagnosed by the former Mt Sinai Long Covid NYC My most recent diagnosis was at CoRE in NYC First 2: symptom based. The most recent: biomarker based.

Never gonna get it with the orange man in charge.

The dems also plan to introduce purple constituent friendly amendments (like they did in the senate) & force the GOP to vote on them. Get them on the record on specifics. It’s gonna be a shit show any way it goes.
comment in response to post
I know they are saying call even blue reps but SERIOUSLY it’s the RED reps who need to get a talking to from their constituents. Dems have already agreed not to cross party lines. It may end up in a govt shutdown but it’s already close to that now. And THEN we have to stick it to the GOP /1

via telehealth. I’ll have to decide visit by visit which I’ll pay out of pocket for & which I’ll travel 200 miles rt for. I’ll also have an endocrinologist & a cardiologist soon, same exact issues. All LC. It’s anti health care & really really stupid because telehealth saves people $.
comment in response to post
Well my mental health care provider already doesn’t take insurance & w low serotonin from LC my rx for my SSRI is more than my plan allows. It’s generic so I’m switching from cvs to costplus & saving $ there My long COVID provider does take Medicare but it sounds like that’s gonna go bye bye. /1

Stfu RfuckingKJR. Why are you shaming people, you self righteous predator?

Who is “they” exactly? And who is it that’s so upset about the preprint that’s postulating that vax reaction syndrome is real & also DIFFERENT than LC? Why is that hard for some to accept? Is science that fragile?

And lost as yet to be calculated federal jobs and civilian downstream jobs. Disaster.

Thank you. No wonder I was confused. I had to read this twice. Letting telehealth expire at the end of March is crazy. But it sounds like they will be doing just that, with some exceptions. Jfc

The whole telehealth sitch has been reported by people in so many different ways I’m not clear on the who whats & where details. Does anyone have a comprehensive link that spells it out? TIA

I can’t say I know the exact number of jobs he’s killed. I know it’s A LOT. I can say that for every job HE directly killed more downstream jobs die too.

Did you do the pledge w Bill Gates et al? I certainly don’t have the answers on how to end world hunger, but it certainly starts with a commitment to fund efforts that try.

For several years I wrote grant proposals directed to the NSF (& other funders) & from that perspective I can tell you the bar was set high to actually get funded. I put my entire brain into pulling together & composing these tomes. As everyone must. Seeking funding is not for dummies or for wimps.

Exactly. AND if those rights ARE in Russian held territory, it’s like making a deal w 2 devils. I think Zelensky is actually trying to buy time for Europe to get their shit together. He’s been very all over the place trying to placate T and then blasting T. But he has to do both. And he’s no fool

You seem to be back peddling from your earlier statement. I guess I should feel relieved you don’t actually support extortion but mostly I’m confused about why you said you did earlier

Wow. You’re endorsing an extortion racket?
