Padres win again. Manny delivers.

T-Mobile is launching its fiber network, unsurprisingly called T-Mobile fiber with the closure of its acquisition of Lumos. The service is currently available to half a million customers and will start offering service June 5th, with a unique 2 Gbit service at $70/mo locked in for 10 years

Ahead of next week's Steam Next Fest, a Puzzling Places PC VR demo is now live:

Earlier this year I wrote about my one encounter with Yarvin, where it was clear he was not very smart, and absolutely, completely, full of himself. The idea that he's influencing *anyone* is bizarre. He's a clown.

It's all good, from Diego to the Bay. #Padres @padres.com

New: The FTC's investigation into online advertising goes beyond just Media Matters. About a dozen other groups, including industry watchdogs and ad organizations, are also under investigation. www.nytimes.com/2025/06/02/t...

So Target leads with dads in June.... but if you scroll down they still want those Pride dollars, too.

This is Bodie. He’s here to celebrate the start of Pride Month. Been working on this pose for weeks. 14/10 the parade starts right behind him 🌈🐾 (IG: hellobodie)

Amazing reporting here on how things have backfired on the capitulating law firms and their enabler. www.wsj.com/us-news/law/...

If I'm reading this correctly, then Yarvin wants the role of führer to be awarded via a Wings of Voice-style competition www.newyorker.com/magazine/202...

again, this staggering idiot — this living monument to gross stupidity — is basically the intellectual guru of the sitting vice president

A totally cordial departure. www.semafor.com/article/05/3...

Why is Congress allowing Trump and Homan to operate their own paramilitary force with questionable "officers" who don't operate at all with due process?

#Padres win! Suarez got very lucky with a dot in the bottom right corner that looked like a ball on TV. #ForTheFaithful!

In the 19th century, a New Orleans doctor sent the skulls of 19 Black Americans to a doctor in Germany, where they were used as part of now discredited racial science. The remains were recently returned to the city, where they will be laid to rest on Saturday.

The ASUS Zenbook A14 had really enticing specs, but I was not prepared for how light it was or how good the battery life was on top of that. Truly a great machine whose value was destroyed by the tariffs. moorinsightsstrategy.com/research-not...

Update:

Morty haircut before and after!

nathan fielder set out to prove one thing this season, and he accomplished it. all commercial airline pilots are autistic.

The #Padres came behind after a 6-0 start and won 8-6! I also caught my fourth foul ball at Petco Park! I also showed up halfway through the first inning, when we were already down 6-0 and got the free giveaway sweater, too! Win win win! #ForTheFaithful

We sued HHS and its administrator RFK Jr. for illegally shuttering the CDC office that turns over records to the public. We're going to keep pursuing public transparency for as long as it takes.

It’s … weirdly reassuring to know the Russians think he’s as idiotic as we do.

This is Aslan. He is the mystic guardian of this enchanted forest. Will not let you pass unless you answer his tricky riddles or give him 3 pats on the noggin. Your choice. 13/10

Cutting off research funding for Harvard University might hurt the school, its president Alan Garber told NPR, but it also potentially sets back important work that benefits the public.

The Tech Yeti Tumbler Trio

One of my favorite new TikTok trends is all of the overstock Chinese 4G LTE hotspots that creators are hawking on the TikTok shop. Like dude, 4G on T-Mobile is gonna be quite bad. Same with AT&T and Verizon. Even with free data, they are gonna be slow AF.

West Point grads got some rambling advice today on selecting a trophy wife after their second divorce from a draft dodger in a red campaign hat before he hauled ass to play golf.

It’s so fascinating to watch. How one man can sow such destruction. How one very bad, stupid, ignorant, cruel, dishonest, and psychopathic man can/will ruin and destroy so many lives. But here’s the thing. None of this is a surprise. Every single voter knew exactly who he was.

well, shit

The U.S. has officially accepted a luxury jetliner from Qatar as a gift, and slated it to become a new Air Force One. Experts say that overhaul could take years and cost hundreds of millions.

Some of my favorite shots of GoogleIO from my Sony A7RV

Yesterday was the deadline in the FTC's ridiculous "big tech censorship" inquiry. It was a waste of my time, but I wrote a comment to explain how stupid and wrong the entire exercise was.

The govt violated a direct court order, once again, by sending migrants to another third country, South Sudan, despite a prior court order. Why isn’t the judge criminally sanctioning anyone yet? And why isn’t someone in jail? Some answers in today’s write-up. statuskuo.substack.com/p/yeah-whos-...

Some former DOJ attorneys are concerned Martin will use his new posts to spread disinformation, delegitimize future elections, and target leading Democrats and prosecutors who have pursued Trump. Indeed, it may already be happening. www.democracydocket.com/news-alerts/...

We’re dealing with evil and incompetent clowns: “After a second break, Joseph N. Mazzara, the Homeland Security Department’s acting general counsel, said that he was not sure whether the information was classified but that he did not know the plane’s current location in any event.”

Remember this is about money, not immigration.

These rural jails didn't used to qualify to hold ICE detainees because of federal jail standards -- of course, this administration got rid of them. Now jails simply have to adhere to state standards although some states (Missouri) don't have any. www.themarshallproject.org/2025/05/19/i...

Thank you Ted Sarandos.

Sean Combs' ex-personal assistant David James just backed up Cassie Ventura's account of coercion. "I can’t get out," Ventura told him, saying he "controls my music career," according to his testimony.
