Too fucking soon!

I'm pretty sure that statement is not meant to be taken literally, and I would be sad if someone actually did that irl, in a sort of "WTF, I meant to live life to the fullest, make the most out of it, you only get one shot, so don't waste it!" kind of way.

(I fucking hate that you need a subscription to post as many characters as you want at one time). Even if Brian Thompson was just trying to do his job and please his shareholders, people are losing their lives everyday because of their health claims being denied and not getting the care they need.

Honestly, can you blame the major news outlets that are owned by corporate billionaires or tycoons, or whatever you wanna call them? Look, it's sad that Brian Thompson got assassinated, but if we don't address the state of Healthcare, this will be a taste of what is to come.

DC Comics provides some social commentary on how the rich deal with real world problems in ways that protect their wealth rather than by relinquishing some of it by giving it directly to people who need help.

Batman doesn't kill (at least, not directly), yet crime in Gotham is depicted as being completely out of control, with skyrocketing inequality. As Bruce Wayne, his business gives millions to charities and yet again, all we see is crime getting out of control. The issue is priorities, not finances.

Well, back then, medical science was primitive compared to our modern applications, though snake oil salesmen are still shaking gullible working folk of their hard earned money. Like Alex Jones of the now defunct Info Wars!

And now kids these days would say, why is that creepy old man spying on those little kids? He looks like Gandalf if he wore a red cloak and became evil.

I wish I could drop an anvil on Donald Trump's head like they did in Looney Toons, but I'd feel more sorry for the anvil!

Yes, and why is Trump throwing stones around his glass house by criticizing Biden pardoning his own son? I know it was hypocritical for Biden to pardon Hunter after he said he wouldn't, but I hardly think Trump can take the moral high ground here.

I understand this is a reference to the mass suicide at Jonestown in 1978, but didn't they actually use a grape flavored Kool-aid substitute, laced with cyanide?

Talk about him being Mike's Johnson

If they did, they wouldn't be electing convicted felons and traitors to office

It's more nuance than you make it out to be, but yes Socialist (not Communist) states were very authoritarian in their control because of how unstable their economies were.

Hopefully before we have to read this in the obituaries: United States (1775 - 2025)

How about, "history is written by the nerds, and covered up by the victors?" How much of recent events will Trump try to bury?

That is so cringe, but we probably need more of that.
