The Brutalist "kills two rabbits with one bullet", as a Bulgarian saying goes. It simultaneously shows the advantages of immigration to the US, and gives an account of Hungarians escaping an authoritarian Budapest regime. Trump and Orbán are criticised with one fell swoop. I love it.

I don't really see The Substance as having the feminist theme at its core. For me, the main theme is the difficulty of maintaining discipline and routine in an ultracapitalist society: if only Elisabeth/Sue respected the balance, nothing bad would've happened.
