I think it's a back stitch I'm doing, or some make shift version lol, I go up about 3 or 4 and then back into 2 or 3, and I try to go half high from the last row to try and make it "seamless". I think it improves better as I get further up the cloak. 🤞

So yeah, having fun, I doubt I'll get the plants to match as I continue moving up, adding the extra details, mountain etc. No masterpiece, but I'm a little impressed that it at least looks neat-ish, and looks a tiny bit similar to the OG image 😆. So I'll call that a win (so far, 🤞 don't mess up).

Current stage, filling in the colours now of Gandalf's cloak. Went light blue for the shadowed creases and outline, and light grey to fill, I will be doing a dark/ night for the background, with the doors bright blue "glowing".

Began the outline.

Used an app I like to "trace", to get an idea of placement.

Found a cool Lord of The Rings image

P.S. Not my OG idea 😅, found some cool table mat alternatives on YouTube that looked creative and fun to try out. x

Also helpful for the players to rotate too, so as to see what's behind cover etc. + Very helpful if low on table space, and want a compact and flexible way to use. Arrive at a building, monsters appear, building taken off and trees added as chasing into a forest, etc.

that you can one day look back and be content, perhaps not on quantity but _certainly_ on quality...... Although generally fucked to do that when dealing with the Perfectionist Curse. But still... the sentiment is there, hopefully that can be felt, lol. 🫂 x

Not to dismiss your personal wants, I'm sorry to hear you aren't happy with what you managed to accomplish this year, everything you've done, does look amazing! I hope you manage to feel happy with your productivity next year, and

I don't normally need to (because I'm useless at it 😅) but making a Flow Chart for NPCs, for action events too. But can help for certain things. x

Campaign making though, I tend to write a document out using a fantasy book structure but in reverse, So what's the big boss battle, and then work backwards, to clues, puzzles, secrets, etc. to the starting point of the Hooks that the Party take and enter into the game.

Next up for my little island, is NPCs, their wants etc. and then quest boards. I'm looking at filling the fluff of the area from small, and then expand out before hitting the bigger land masses.

@stardustrgb.bsky.social suggested trying out Midgard town builder book to fill the area, all things rolled from the tables. I need to look into more assets for Wonderdraft as it's pretty bare for choice.
