They asked when I sought diagnosis what I wanted it for and did seem to fully understand that it's to help me understand myself and for validation that I'm not just imagining it! I'd suspected for a long time, but having it validated has made a real difference to me.

Proudly a woman who they think doesn't count.

I am looking forward to seeing you when you come to Ely next month. I'm recently diagnosed autistic and now researching it has become a special interest 😊

It also makes it hard for people who do have a real issue to realise it sometimes - my husband has IBS and it was a revelation to him when I told him my standard level of tummy pain is none - we all only know our own internal experiences and the default is to assume thats how everyone is.

I am glad you promoted it as I would likely not have known about it otherwise, and I greatly enjoyed listening to it while watching my daughter's swimming lesson. Thankyou! I'm looking forward to the next.

My father in law keeps asking us 'but how long does it take to charge?!?' We don't even know, we plug it in when we get home and the next morning its done, we don't care how long it took. He can't wrap his head round it.

But, in that 18 minutes we are more likely to spend. Back when I had a petrol car if we needed to stop at services at all it would be for a quick (free) toilet visit then back on the road. Now we have an electric car we stop, buy food, browse the shop (impusle purchase ahoy), and get a coffee.
