Not a lawyer, but the Posse Comitatus Act normally bars federal troops from participating in civilian law enforcement and if the President calls the National Guard up, they're federal troops. i.e. the President calling them up erases the distinction.

Nixon, for all his faults and flaws, clearly better than Trump here. 3 out of 4 of Nixon's appointees on SCOTUS voted for Roe v Wade. He called out scientists who invented vaccines needed far greater support. Etc...

Still wild to me that all but the two Adams were slave owners out of the first 12 presidents.

Probably a "do not understand the National Guard is part of the military in this scenario" problem

Like there's a great movie in there, but it needs a couple of minutes of revisions to kill those things and the actors are the ones who suffer the lack of a strong script supervisor.

There are multiple times where the movie tells us X happened and showed us not-X happened. Leia never orders the bombers to not attack, but blames the loss on Poe. Casino world is gotten to by a hyperdrive capable fully fueled shuttle that is used at the end to not go to hyperdrive.

Always difficult to deal with essentially a person with zero integrity. NY, CA, IL, OR, WA and New England should probably make a single payer system and encourage other states to join them.

But yeah, agree, kids having significantly more scheduled fun vs. as an example, my just going outside and throwing a ball at a pole on a chainlink fence most nights to improve my baseball pitches.

They had the National Guard sleeping on the floors in the first instance, right? They're going to handle a larger rollout well?

Someone just noted this, but probably a decent idea to have some signage if you know the National Guard is going to be there pointing this out.

Particularly when they realize they're sleeping on a concrete floor while ICE sleeps in a hotel.

always good to show the wildly too fast car accelerating on a cliffside road on a turn

Must have been wild given how interested Gilroy is in history, him constructing how one might build and fund revolutionary cells in season 1 of Andor and shifting revolutionary cells into the actual military of an rebellion.

Same and really, I've tried at least twice to prove it wrong.
