Available now: pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/... Let us know if you try our palladate salt and hopefully it can help you with challenging cross-coupling reactions!

Nobody cares. Work harder.

Does anyone have a no nonsense guide to preparing Grignard reagents? Tutorials on YouTube are either very low quality or about the mechanism of a Grignard. I would love a step-by-step general guide.

If you’re an industry chemist who holds a BS/BA in Chemistry, we want to have a (compensated) conversation with you 🤗 Please share widely with chemical industry friends and colleagues! #ChemSky

Another long run complete.

𝐏𝐡𝐃 𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞! 🎉 The Day lab is hiring two PhD candidates to work on developing new transition-metal-catalyzed methods to transform CO2 into polymers or pharmaceuticals! jobportal.ku.dk/phd?show=163... Applications are open until February 14th 2025. Please feel free to share!

Day 2 of training for a half marathon. I used to not even be able to run 1 mile I was so out of shape.

I signed up for a half-marathon at the end of February.

I need a remake of my favorite 3D platformer as a child. The Sly Cooper Trilogy.

Sunday means long run. Now ready for disappointment from Spurs.

Staying consistent. Need more hills in Texas.

Eating clean and running. Keep working.

The 2025 Chemistry Faculty Jobs List (by Andrew Spaeth, me) has 436 tenure-track positions and 66 teaching positions: bit.ly/facultychemj... facultychemjobs chemjobs chemsky

Save the Date!! The first ACS-DOC @organicdivision.org Virtual Symposium of 2025 is on January 15, 2025 @ 12 noon ET featuring Yang Yang & Julian West @pushingarrows.bsky.social Watch for free at: YouTube: orgn.link/watch Zoom: orgn.link/vs-zoom Thank you to @BeyondCCHF for hosting #ChemSky

Spurs lost. Pathetic fashion really. Quit sulking and get it done! Refreshed for some chemistry this week after getting 0 done this weekend.

Ni chemistry is whack. 3 different ligands, 3 different colors and precipitates from the same Ni precursor.

Probably my first run since high school soccer

Haaland is bound to turn it around this week right????

We have two openings for PDRAs working in iron catalysis for organic synthesis as part of a funded EPSRC Fellowship. Applicants with strong backgrounds in inorganic synthesis and organometallic chemistry are strongly encouraged to apply. Link below: my.corehr.com/pls/uoxrecru...

It's a little bit late, but I'm really excited for my first paper! For reaction monitoring by NMR, signal-averaging can be applied *after acquisition*, and results in better S/N *and* data density without the typical trade-off. pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/... #NMRchat #NMR @lloydjonesgroup.bsky.social

Did some tidying up of the links for chemistry related starter packs, arranged loosely by subject area, and added who maintains the list so you know who to speak with if you'd like to be added! tinyurl.com/ChemSkyStart... #ChemSky #Chemistry #Chemists #StarterPacks 🧪

Now available in a much tidier Google Sheets too. tinyurl.com/ChemSkyStart...

Journal club on Monday means fantasy premier league and literature survey on Saturday morning 💪🏻 going to read from one my favorite labs @theneidiglab.bsky.social Also, maple syrup in hot coffee is a game changer.

Equal parts olives and vodka

I started a mohawk trend in 1st grade.

Having a reaction safety discussion today at work and sharing some key info about NaH/DMF - this paper is very informative #ChemSky #ChemLabSafety #NoNaHwithDMF
