I use Mg turnings and I make sure the crush them up a bit more using mortle/pestle. I appreciate the feedback tho! These are the litte tips and tricks i was curious about

I am preparing a reaction at a 2 mmol scale, which would correspond to 53 mg of Mg (1.1 equiv to starting material) and I arbitrarily picked 20 mL of THF. What are your thoughts on this? Too small of a reaction? Is there a general concentration range you like to target?

That said, all this chat about “non-precious metal” this, “Earth abundant metal” that. Where is a review on the most toxic, precious metal catalyzed reactions? Surely there are Uranium, Polonium, or Lead catalyzed Suzuki couplings.

Completely agree and as a follow up, I also recommend this ORPD paper for non-precious metal catalysis and collaboration. pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/...

Sweep width 1000 ppm and 1256 scans should do the trick 😎

Just curious because I’ve always had a soft spot for Everton. Goodison park is formidable. But, poor financial choices has put the club is a terrible spot. Dyche managed a miracle to avoid relegation which would have set the club back decades.

Southampton is an easy fixture to target for Konate, but are people keeping him long term?

Presumably Palmer is on FK and in swinging left footed corners. Reece might take the right footed corners, but a Chelsea supporter would have to confirm.

Biggest question is what to do with TAA? I honestly love the thought of a sneaky Reece James pick. Gvardiol might be an easy shout tho too, the guy has an eye for a G/A.
