Hitting a couple bumps in the road, but just trying to keep positive and move forward. Trying to just do what we can do.

Just picked up some more model glue to work on my deuce and a half. In this political climate, not sure whether just to sniff it or make the model.

Special Canadian Pacific Railway trains were used to move the immigrants across to the western part of Canada. Government representatives from several nations greeted the passengers.

I will post progress. First time building one of these kits. So many tiny pieces that you won't see once it is complete.

John writes home, "The Colonel took 8 of us boys up in the mountains to do a bit of walking on snowshoes. We have to learn to walk on them because if there ever is a crash on the mountains and there is a lot of snow then we have to use them to carry the men down in litters."

Most archivists and librarians have been excellent to work with. I have just struggled with that location. Certainly they are understaffed for the volume of requests. And the 1970s fire didn't help. I also see a lot of records were destroyed on purpose as per standard orders.

Good luck. I waited 18 months for St Louis to send me a letter stating they could find no record my veteran had served.

Glad to help. I'm sure I've missed people. Hopeful to get to add PC-A if he moves over here.

Hey Tony! Was thinking of you today. I agree with you. Missing my friends that I used to see on Twitter. Glad to see you on here. Will catch up maybe at the next model meet.

Ok. Gonna highlight my favorite details: the grimy fingernails, the skinned knees, and the button on the end of the powder horn. Also, the red under his eyes. Amazing and inspiring work.

So true Ian. Focus on doing good to those you can help and let the others fade into the background. Have a great Friday.

Unsure. Did see that history professor Dr Carol Gluck from
Columbia University did a presentation at Portland State called What the World Owes the Comfort Women, in 2017.

Keum Suk Gendry-Kim wrote Grass in 2017 originally in Korean, published in English in 2019 about comfort women used by the Japanese army.
