After a career of 42 years, colleague Frank Vermeulen, professor of Roman-Mediterranean archaeology, will retire on Feb 1. Prof. Vermeulen obtained his PhD at #UGent with a thesis on Roman habitation in sandy Flanders, and afterwards specialized in Roman-Mediterranean archaeology.

Dr. Maïté Rivollat presented the ROAM project on the genetic analysis of #Mesolithic and #Neolithic people from Belgium at the annual meeting of the Societe d’antropologie de Paris held this year at the @museedelhomme.fr @archeosugent.bsky.social @archeougent.bsky.social
