We used both metric and imperial in the UK so we get used to doing conversions a lot. A 1.5m cable would be 5ft as 1ft is ~30cm. 1 yard would be ~90cm and 1 mile would be ~1.6KM.
Even for weights we're all over the place. I can go buy groceries by the KG and then go home and weigh myself in stone.

Personally I just disabled replies showing on my feed. I have the same mindset here as I do to Twitter. Comfy posts and friends only. Anything hateful/political gets removed.

Honestly I found gaming to be way more fun when I began focusing more of my time on indie titles instead. Most AAA titles have either gone down the live service model where they expect to make the game your second job and pay all the time or are full of busywork tasks in a barren world. :(

That's part of the problem. Devs/publishers have realised that the average person will just buy a bigger hard drive or a new GPU if they can't play their game so they have little reason to optimise their code/compress assets/etc especially when such a task costs time and money.

This post makes me sad that it contradicts itself in the image. Wiz n Liz had crazy tight physics for a platformer. Which was kind of required considering how brutal the later levels get.

Tbf some products' entire success comes from marketing. Just look at how hard coca cola has to force advertisements down people's throats whilst also making deals with every business they can to try and stock only products they produce. Those fridges and dispensers you see are owned by cola cola.

Generally it's best to instead listen to the products recommended to you by those who genuinely enjoy the product and you can trust rather than those who got paid to talk about the product to you. Even then it's also best to do your own research after the fact to make sure the product is legitimate.

My biggest gripe with the Civ games is that the difficulty settings don't actually make the AI any smarter. It just buffs them so hard you can only play in one way to win.

For your usual "b-pad" charger it would be a good idea to grab yourself a 30W charger to make sure your charging speeds are just as quick as the original.

To be fair you don't need a specifically branded charger/cable to charge your device. Depending as to whether or not your tablet is Type-C or lightning you can just grab a decent quality cable of the appropriate connector type alongside a charger.

I can see why devs chose to not go down that path. Though one idea I did have is to allow it and have a hidden "enrage" bar on the boss. The more you spam debuffs, the more angry and aggressive they get. That way you can still debuffs them yet it won't become a broken strategy 😊

It would make sense culturally for America as they were founded far later when food shortages weren't a major problem. Though in a lot of European countries potato or wheat (usually bread)-based dishes are way more common.
I think it's all because a country found a staple carb that's easy to grow.

It may not help, though I find it to be a lot easier to track things in first-person titles by aiming less at where the opponent was and more where the opponent will be. For single-shot items like sniper rifles you can use a "guitar hero" method and let the opponent come to your crosshair instead :)
