Ugh I might have to become a waiter at his table of success... he called an Italian caption Spanish and dedicated it to the victims of a nightclub collapse... I can't with this diva

I haven't seen the list myself personally but I have been assured he is on it. You would not believe how a little tin of boot polish goes a long way in the canadian government.

Great question. Think about the nature of the US economy and what it's dependent on. I imagine your answer is the mid-90s. Everything after that has basically been one recession after the other. Dotcom, 2008, the scam economies of Crypto and NFTs since like 2018...

Dang that must've been a really deep cut

I don't know how this is a point of discussion relevant to the current thing being talked about and I'm not interested.
comment in response to post
Just like Marxists, economists are convinced that if people just read theory and do homework, they'll somehow magically gain the consciousness needed to operate at the same level as them... Doesn't work that way. Material conditions matter more than anything else.
comment in response to post
I am not, I can literally see his Twitter. Every time people brought up public sentiment his strat is to bring out a bitch of graphs and then say "abloo bloo bloo". He and MattYgelsias are in a contest to see who is worse at understanding reality. And MattY is winning at being worse.
comment in response to post
Lol what are you gonna do about it, lose another election by historic levels?
comment in response to post
Lol, you, a dipshit who thinks Kamala isn't a neoliberal, is gonna start lecturing others on it... Incredible.
comment in response to post
Looks like you can't pick up on sarcasm. I am not curious about the methodology, I think the source is dogshit. Like citing the Daily Mail as a news source.
comment in response to post
Lol looks like you genuinely don't understand that Pew is a highly biased source whose surveys can simply be discarded 80% of the time, which is a figure I pulled from the same place they pull their sampling from: where the sun don't shine.
comment in response to post
Chief, you made the absurd claim about surveys somehow affecting public views of national economics, not me. Nut up or shut up. It's delusional to think anyone even knows the results of these surveys, since even you apparently charge money to wade through this bullshit.
comment in response to post
My guy this is pew. I asked for an actual survey.

Also I hope you know that we have the demographic data for the 2024 election which shows that republican voters didn't really shift their allegiances around. It was the democrats who failed to energise their base. The voters you claim impact economic metrics didn't really shift.
comment in response to post
Please show me a poll where you think this happened. It seems fascinating that you would somehow cook up a theory like this.
comment in response to post
No this is a genuinely delusional take. Pollsters don't just talk to Republicans for fucks sake. There is literal stagflation, with sharp price spikes, and at the same time massive layoffs in the tech industry. You're talking about this as if it only exists in a single poll! Lunacy.
comment in response to post
What are you blabbing about? Do you think polls only talk to republican voters?!
comment in response to post
And your point being....???

By every metric Willy Weenis presents, the average American should be cash rich and having a great time paying off rent or mortgages, yet that's not really materialised has it? There's a gulf in his model and reality. He's wrong about something important, somewhere.
comment in response to post
Damn, you're fucking stupid. In economic models, if you can account for the discrepancy in, say, crime stats, i.e. the media is over-representing them, then your model fits reality. Willy Stencil's loose ideas with graphs don't explain why his economic perception and public behaviour don't match.
comment in response to post
This is bluesky, they don't get satire yet
comment in response to post
Your logic is so stupid you should receive a prize. You are a slave to neoliberal ideology without knowing it, and you're bootlicking a guy with an agenda to sell himself to the dem establishment.
comment in response to post
Explain to me what you think a neoliberal is then, idiot.
comment in response to post
I guess that was too complex for you, it should be apparent that I was demonstrating the kinds of unfounded assumptions that drive the faulty economic modelling that Willy likes to quote.
comment in response to post
No they wouldn't lmao. His whole argument is that apparently Biden somehow had a great economy when most of the cash flow was into corporations indulging in massive price gouging during and after Covid. The effects of those spikes haven't levelled off because wages didn't spike equally.
comment in response to post
There are only 2 good economists in all the work I had to read about, Marx and Keynes.
comment in response to post
Also I do have a degree in Economics. It's just that economists are all smug pricks who think making assumptions like "in a demand constrained economy, obviously any cash injection is going to raise inflation" when none of the economies they study are constrained that way.
comment in response to post
"You're just another internet crybully" says the neoliberal calling other people fascists lmao. I hope you know that your ideology is the one that was incubated in Pinochet's Chile, an actual fascist regime that worked with literal German Nazis and the CIA to suppress dissidents.
comment in response to post
Oh so now the civility evaporates eh. Honey, I know it's hard to understand but here's the truth: economics is the least scientific of the humanities out there. If your model of economics doesn't match reality, then it's not reality that's wrong, you just fucked up your little graphs.
comment in response to post
He was WRONG about the material economic parts you doofus, that reflected in the election! People's economic confidence is shot because they are experiencing worse economic conditions! I don't know what graphs you and Willy are using cause clearly, you failed! And were smug pricks in the process!
comment in response to post
RIP to your characters but I could resist it very easily.
comment in response to post
Buddy have you been living under a rock? Literally his theory of the Presidential election was proven wrong. Harris followed his model: be a smug prick that told people the economy was doing fine, moving to the right, embracing Liz Cheney of all people... Spectacular failure.
comment in response to post
Yeah these planes already squawk on IFF, this so-called accident happened despite that.
comment in response to post
The key point is that you don't seem to understand that people are pissed off at Willy Stencil for being wrong all the time, while being obnoxiously smug about it, just like you are right now. When civil debate doesn't penetrate through his thick skin, what other choice is there?

You are objectively correct in that Hathaway is the best Gundam Movie.
