Sounds like youâve been having a bit of a day (or two) - hope someone shines a little ray of light into the gloom for you soon. đ
We all go through that, youâre not alone. I recommend the company of dogs/your preferred mammals!

Yes.
As I said the other day - Israel, more than any nation on Earth, should know better. That hurts. Humanity(!) has no future if thatâs the best we can do.
Tearing my hair out, here.

Thatâs true.
Itâs the ones whoâve felt the loss/grief/anguish most closely, most deeply, who want peace more dearly than anyone else. Just like combat veterans are more likely to be in favour of peace, and our parentsâ generation who lived through WW2 valued the peace & prosperity some now donâtâŚ

That was never going to happen, and it played straight into the hands of the fundamentalists like Hamas.
My god, the damage done.
Also: is there any other country on Earth, besides Israel, where every single home has/needs a Safe Room? No-one ever talks about that. Worth pondering.
Salaam/shalom.

⌠for a Palestinian homeland.
Gaza is as good as gone and even if it werenât will be completely non-viable for a long time.
And Britain/the UN/US need to apologize profusely (and back it up with cold hard cash) for feeding those people a steady diet of right-of-return/poor yous for 80yrsâŚ

The Arab nations are being remarkably quiet about the whole thing. Iran/Hezbollah aside, itâs quite astonishing. Fact is, they want nothing to do with the Palestinians because theyâve been so radicalised for so long; those countries need to sit down & haggle over whoâs going to give up some landâŚ

⌠that weâre talking about 2 cultures/religions which are NOT Christian - yet we insist on trying to impose Christian/Western values on the whole situation. A certain amount of our shock is our own fault: we (as a society) consistently fail to recognize that disparity.
Also worth pointing out:

⌠ignored Egyptian warnings that an attack was imminent, just so heâd be 'justified' in going into Gaza.
But there is no justification for a lot of what he & his maniacs have done.
Beyond tragic.
Itâs also worth pointing out, though,

Agreed.
⌠but Hamas uses their own people as human shields, so itâs impossible to pick off just the instigators. Our lot - both sides - did the same.
Again: not making any excuses (there arenât any for whatâs being done), just trying not to be biased in any direction.

I hear that. Violence begets violence. Grief - and the burning desire for revenge - can make some people unhinged.
Not trying to excuse any of it, just trying to understand the human animal. And tbh the human animal is pretty scary & ugly in situations like that. As we know only too well.

Agreed. N is going to have to answer to his own people before he ever gets anywhere near the ICC.
⌠assuming they leave anything for the ICC to deal with. Eye for an eye, etc.

Why? Would it have hurt them to wait until the boat reached Israeli territorial waters?
I cannot make it make sense. Netanyahu & his evil maniacs have done/are doing more to advance the cause of anti-Semitism than Hitler ever did. Itâs insane.
