At this time it is essential for our press to write accurately and directly. The US President’s enormous new taxes are not taxes “on Mexico” or “on Canada”. They are taxes on Americans—Americans who buy goods, or inputs to production, from Mexico or Canada.

We spent time thinking carefully about best practices/suggestions for the use of social media in Economics and the report is now out here: www.aeaweb.org/about-aea/co... #Econsky 1/n

Excited to announce a new @pnas.org publication on the Social Cost of Carbon. We integrate evidence from the literature and expert survey to provide an SCC distribution inclusive of both parametric and structural uncertainties. Our mean 2020 value is $283 per ton CO2 www.pnas.org/doi/10.1073/...

We finally reached the R vs Stata wars stage of bluesky

I owe being an academic to @rff.org who made me the only academic offer I got out of grad school. I would have been a non-research bureaucrat in an international organization otherwise.
