Ultimately I really don't know what there is to say about Blue Prince. It is fresh and not. It is fair and not. It is fun and not. Exceptional, and overhyped, and still good. I think I'm glad I played it, just to understand it.

Despite Blue Prince being extremely my jam in theory I cannot remember a game I've had to work harder at to try and enjoy. 3 hours in and it's offered me basically nothing. Wish I was having the experience everyone else seems to be having.

The best was Quest for Glory 1 where trying to pick your nose would make the character attempt to use a lock pick to do it. At low skill levels you got a game over due to cerebral haemorrhage and at high skill levels you got a message saying SUCCESS! YOUR NOSE IS NOW OPEN.
