Inhuman

Absolutely loving The Netherlands.

I am not an economist, but I do spend a *lot* more time than the average person does in studying politics and elections. I can never once recall a time where a recession was so directly and obviously traceable to the president alone, let alone one where he CLAIMED CREDIT FOR IT.

lol

Congress has to act. I can’t believe I’ve been teaching US politics all these years, not through rose colored glasses, but with the sense that Congress at least wouldn’t lay down and die.

Reminder no. 871: Congress can stop this insanity any time it so chooses. Under the Constitution, *Congress*, not the President, has the power to tax and to impose tariffs. They gave it away. They can take it back. Call your Congress reps, especially if they are GOP. Tell them: ENOUGH!

It’s a recalibration of economic control. Oligarchs don’t live paycheck to paycheck. They have the capital to buy market dips and recoup faster, acquiring more assets at fire sale prices along the way. When the dust finally settles, they will own more. The rest of us will own less. A lot less.

Yeah. You really don't want to mess with a mob of feathery ninjas with anger issues.

Boohoo save us from what we voted for and contributed to because we were too horny about tax cuts and regulatory cuts to listen to his plans.

Let’s be honest. The destruction of the US economy, diplomatic and military power doesn’t rest alone on Trump’s shoulders. Every Republican who refused to say no and preserve checks and balances is a willing co-conspirator in the collapse. All of them.

Wall Street and Silicon Valley can eat a root. They backed this because they believed they were dealing with a bullshitter who’d deliver them lower taxes, less regulation, and freedom from antitrust actions and wouldn’t destroy them via tariffs, and cut them off from immigrant labor.

A tricky thing about modern society is that no one has any idea when they don’t die. Like, the number of lives saved by controlling air pollution in America is probably over 200,000 per year, but the number of people who think their life was saved by controlling air pollution is zero.

I felt really bad when UConn beat AState by 69. Rest of the tournament won by 34, 23, 24, 34, and 23. Amazingly good team.

If folks had voted for the Black lady who wanted to tax the rich and give everyone else a tax cut, we wouldn’t be having this problem. This guy nails it. 🔥

Trump’s own voters are turning on him.

Is Greg Abbott going to attend as well? They can bond over their one true passion — children dying.

A 2nd child has died in Texas from #measles, the 3rd US death in 2025. Context: There have been as many measles deaths this year in the US as there were in the previous 24 years. It's only early April. 2025 is on track to be a very bad measles year. Chart is confirmed cases as of 4/3/25.

What demonic force is this cat worshipping?

Imagine being an hideous person who is so stupid he has to pretend the only way people would dislike him is if they were paid to *pretend* to dislike him. What an idiot.

Radley is right. And as a lifelong Southern Baptist I cannot help but wonder: will any evangelical preachers stand in a pulpit tomorrow and bring a message that causes the congregation to consider this man and his family as neighbors to be loved as Jesus loved? Precious few. If any.

All he’s talking about is history. If you know your history, then you have some real insight into the future.

He has combined with others to subject us to a jurisdiction foreign to our constitution, and unacknowledged by our laws; giving his Assent to their Acts of pretended Legislation: … For cutting off our Trade with all parts of the world: —Declaration of Independence.

Nobody here can dance like me Everyone clapping on the one and the three.

The White House has just released a new official statement as the economy crashes: “The President won his second round matchup of the Senior Club Championship today in Jupiter, FL, and advances to the Championship Round tomorrow.”

Bridge out in Arkadelphia. The Battle of the Ravine, the great football rivalry in Arkadelphia between Henderson State and Ouachita Baptist will need a new bridge this year. Ok it’s not a big bridge.

Worst two-day stock market crashes in the U.S. by percentage loss: 1. 1929 (the Great Depression) 2. 1987 (Black Monday) 3. 2008 (the Great Recession) 4. YESTERDAY AND TODAY And while this happened, the man responsible for it was golfing and dining with enemies of America.
