Maybe people should take the debate to them? I mean, they must have camping HQ right? Grab a camera and a mic and head on over.

The lack of attention to power and politics in so much conservation social science is pretty shocking. Like, read a political ecology paper folks.

And there would sadly be a good number of collaborators. Anschluss is the analog here.

Teams to agree. But it’s also about wheel base and weight distribution. My Subaru skates circles around most pickups, even and especially large ones.

I owned a Datsun 210 that performed better in the snow.

You didn’t get blown across the bay I see.

"Just let us-" NO. You can in fact do what you claim to want to do - resist deepening oppression - AND critique Canada, fighting to fundamentally change the colonial relationship. Because again - you don't get one without the other.

It's maddening. I live on a secondary arterial within .5 km of two schools, two grocery stores and on the way to MUN. Often takes 2-3 business days to get sidewalks cleared to link up with others that are. I swear not one person who works down at city hall has walked further than their car and back

Cancelled my trip to a red/swing state hosted conference in April. Let organizers know why, too. They’re not getting any 🇨🇦 taxpayer dollars or if me.

It’s an HBO doc series on the infamous Synanon therapy group that evolved into a cult in the 70s. Think Rajneeshees but in SoCal—your old stomping grounds!

Same noises being made here in 🇨🇦: let’s poach the good Yanks. Trouble is, we’re already several decades into the disinvestment in universities + with a large & growing precariat of our own. We did this in 60s when our system was expanding & far fewer domestic PhDs. Now? Why?

Absolutely. Sovereignty and decolonization are the pathway and medium of resistance.

At the risk of splitting hairs… I think this gang of techbro Nazis are more of a throwback to early-mid century ubermenchen, Ayn Rand acolytes meet Technocracy. There’s a mysticism for sure, but also a hard eyed ideology that leads to the gas chambers. Zone of Influence warned us.
