Once the “No Kings Rally and March” ended just after 2:00 p.m., a second protest kicked off on the Magnificent Mile in downtown Chicago in support of Palestine. thetriibe.com/2025/06/no-k...

I don’t say this with any disrespect for permitted events, but it’s clear some people don’t understand the difference in what to expect between a permitted event and an unauthorized march, action, or assembly.

We're living under fascism. ORGANIZE YOUR OWN THINGS IF YOU DON'T LIKE WHAT'S ON OFFER. Jesus Christ.

If you're heading to a protest tomorrow, it's important to know your rights. Consult this information from the ACLU. Be peaceful. Be safe. Be careful. Be strong.

they mispelled "white"

@prisonculture.bsky.social and I have been encouraging people to read chapter six of our book, Let This Radicalize You, which deals with the question of "violence" in social movements. We have decided to share the chapter publicly, to offer some context and grounding for the current conversation.

If you can show up and be present, you can help slow and prevent the terror happening in our city.

nerding out about the symbolism on this chicago water pumping station. the peace sign type things are the municipal device, a stylized map of the chicago river’s 3 branches, but flipped upside down to represent the incredible hydraulic engineering achievement of reversing the river’s flow

We need to fundamentally appreciate those on the streets of LA are there because ICE + the fucking military took family members, neighbors + co-workers - this isn't an abstraction. What would you do if it happened to you? How would you feel about someone crying more over a Waymo than your child?

Senator Padilla pledged to help us answer some questions on why California’s workers are being hunted down like prey. He’s doing his best to get some answers.

This person is doing good, and more people should be on the pavement with them. Documenting is good, direct action is better. If you can, its time to start putting bodies between ICE and our neighbors.

I don't care what you think about PSL. That letter is dangerous. What Hawley is doing is setting the stage to do the same to all Left groups.

Be Sand. Find a Gear

ICE agents are making arrests inside Chicago's immigration court hallways again this morning. Reportedly three people detained so far after exiting their hearings.

How're they gonna find a supply of pliant, lowpaid labor to replace undocumented workers? Why children! With their small delicate hands I'm sure they could make iPhone screws. And don't worry about agriculture in the valley, we're about to get a whole lot more prisoners in SoCal. It's gonna be fine

I think this is the first time I have seen this presented graphically. It really illustrates how cars have been designed by engineers to maximize their killing power.

People are turning up to deter ICE From kidnapping people from court. No one has been taken in two days since this ICE WATCH started. If you can, get to Monroe and help defend our neighbors.

Now unlocked: @reallandsend.bsky.social & @vickyacab.bsky.social on the holes in the Trump administration’s grip on power and how the field is ripe for mass movements to challenge not just Trump administration policies like mass deportation, but federal power itself on.soundcloud.com/LOH0A3aRSSuI...

Neighbors don't let neighbors get eaten ✊🏽

I’ve never forgotten this picture from 2016 and how it completely reshaped my understanding of how the media covers protests.

Reminder: The Department of Housing’s budget is less than CPD’s overtime

Update: reports of 17 total arrested now. People were scrambling for jail support last night. Reinforcements still needed, per volunteers.

At least ten armed officers blocked a lone young woman from trying to get home. The best idea to defuse the situation the ten could think up was to yell at her for a few seconds and then shoot her with rubber bullets.

NLG Chicago had Legal Observers present at all three anti-ICE and pro-immigrant protests today in Chicago. Our Mass Defense Committee is tracking an estimated 15 arrested people & working with jail support to ensure they’re safely released.

Getting dressed up in their overtime finest.

I don't care what people on the street did or didn't do, I dont care who did or didn't engage in violence, I don't care whether you approve or not. ICE is having a hard time conducting raids, and *that* is the point. All the rest is noise. Serve the people, always. www.nbcnews.com/politics/imm...

Salt Trucks blocking Wacker. In June. Nothing shady here....

Folks posted up outside of Immigration Court today to let ICE know they aren't welcome. ICE didn't detain anyone, and cases were rescheduled.

Fight the Empire.

We need to build some real social stigma around being afraid of cities. You don't have to like them or live there, but a politics built this strongly around watching TV and going "ewww" is embarrassing, and people should be embarrassed by it. It's like "fear of werewolves" being your top issue.

Hearings are being rescheduled, which means if you can show up tomorrow, or the next day, we need to keep eyes on the courts
